Adam Kersey is the referee this weekend. He has officiated 15 matches, 14 in the league and the recent Australia Cup Final.

We have won 6, drawn 2 and lost 7 under Kersey. He's never officiated a Jets v Victory match.

Wonder what we are paying on TAB to win the possession count?

About all we can look forward to.

Drubbing incomming.

Milligan out.

Well, that was exciting. We are fun to watch at the moment. Much better performance.

We should enjoy Badolato while we can - i think he'll be gone by the end of the summer.

I thought Shaughnessy looked good, he's only going to improve if he can stay injury free and involved in more games with this team

Badolato is obviously a real talent, if we can keep him for the whole season I'll be happy, but wouldn't be surprised to see him go in January.

Dobson was fantastic, that kid is so talented and seems to be improving quite rapidly from where he was at last season. We looked a lot better with him on the pitch as opposed to Fryer starting, who didn't quite get himself into the game with the same authority as Dobson.

Despite thinking that Bayliss is definitely a better player then Grozos, Grozos unfortunately just works much better in this team. When you have Badolato and Burgess doing their things, you really don't need another midfielder who is much stronger from an attacking perspective then a defensive one.

Really looking forward to this team at mostly full strength. Having Taylor and Adams back in the team will be a huge benefit to this team

Really need to lock Badolato in for next year if we are to have any chance in the ACL. That goes for all our good young players

Cam Devlin is over there in front of the world towelling up Celtic and you think these Jets kids arent looking at that wondering what they can achieve.

The only thing Jets can do is to set it up so we get paid when they leave. Cause they aint staying, and nor should they.

Duncan in goals. I knew we'd be fine.

This.

I was saying that to my mates at the game on Friday. He's not sticking around.

There's 2017/18 season vibes about this team. A fresh attacking style with plenty of goals in them but some defensive frailties at the back. A real "we'll score more than you" mentality.

Unlike 17/18 though I feel there's a broader goal creation threat from across the team. We can attack and create from anywhere with depth off the bench.

I wonder as the season progresses how our high-pressing style will go during the heat.

Now comes a test against Sydney this weekend and we need to back it up.

Interesting table....nobody has either won both, or lost both, of their games. 3 points between top and bottom, and 9 out of the 12 teams have a win on the board.

The best thing Jets could try and do with Badolato is try and extend his deal for another year and add a release clause to it. If his form continues, he will go at seasons end. But having 2 years left on the contract as opposed to 1 year will add more in the transfer sale.

In the meantime, hopefully he can push the Jets while he is here.

Firstly, while his goals so far this season have been spectacular, lets not book his ticket to Europe yet off the back of one great game. If he keeps this up for a few more games, then we will definitely need to be fending off interest.

Agree, extend and release clause is the way to go.

If these young talented players are the archetype that we want to be signing and playing with in the near term, we will need to get used to reality that if we unearth any gems that they will be too hot for us and will move on quickly.
It's actually important if we want to keep bringing more of them through that we don't stand in their way of moving onto bigger things. Being a destination where they can get first team football chances and be in the shopfront will do us favours in the long term.
We do need to not be bullied into our past of "mutual terminations" and letting people go for free, and the "bigger things" cannot be domestic rivals. Market rate transfer fees should be expected for our work in developing and encouraging the talents we do manage to find.
