If Roar has a very fast left winger = 3-0 loss
If Roar dont have a very fast left winger = 3-0 win.

Either way Gary Van Milligan wont see it coming.

My main hope for this game is that the Ben Homer love fest for some Jets 'stat guy' doesn't continue.

Seriously, that pair need to get a room.

I get it, they all love this Darren Keating bloke.

Anyone can be nice, lets see old Ben shout out some of the real assholes around this club, like The Member or plague.

I heard there was another shout out. The people know where to go to get reliable information

Instead of pendering to the local stat dork community old Ben should be praising Griff way more on the broadcast

Is it too hard for the bloke to drop the great mans name every minute or two?

Ratings would skyrocket.

Starting to think this Ben bloke doesnt even know sockah.

Oh for the days of Mike Rabbitt.

Alireza Faghani is this weekend's referee. Match is 3rd between Jets & Roar he's officiated. We're 1 win and 1 draw from the previous two.

Overall in the 13 he's officiated we are 5 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses.

He's card-happy, issuing an average of just under 4 yellows per match and no red cards. Only 2 penalties awarded over the 13 matches (1 to us).

He'll let them go. He tends to let the game flow and ignore shithousery - then a flurry of late yellows to even things up. Hence the lack of reds.

I hope this doesn't come back to hurt, but I rate the bloke.. Top ref.. As you said, usually lets the game flow.

So much happier to see his name compared to people like Sean Evans or Kurt Ams...

Our defence is terrible.

Is this the worst defence we've seen for well over a decade?

And considering the only real change from last season is Susnjar being a guaranteed starter and some Irish bloke who looks like he's just been promoted from the local O35s comp, that's not a great look for Milligan.

Clueless in the front third today. Chsnges needed at half time, not 75 minutes in.

I would put my house in Ruben taking over before the season is out, Milligan is already cooked and it's only 4 games in.

Joe Shaughnessy is too slow and comes from a team that rarely play out from the back.
Signing him for two years makes zero sense.

I'd rather we gave Cooper and Natta more opportunities.

The downsize of System managers if you dont have the personel or teams press you well if you insist on playing out from the back

Totally agree, If we didn’t make a change at half time today, then I cant see it happening ever. First half was horrendous, Dobson and Gibson showed some energy but we had zero direction and not enough fight.

Rose on around the 80 minute mark was way too late, either there is a fitness issue or Milligan doesn’t rate him as he doesn’t get enough minutes.

I know Timmins wasn’t a main player for us but he wasn’t really replaced. We can blame the defence, but we are way too open with our midfield set up and attacking fullbacks. The 2 centre backs are exposed too often.

With the move to two screening mids yesterday the fluid attacking we've seen disappeared.

Gibson out wide made no sense. Burgess was languid. Our attack was easily managed by Brisbane. And changes came too late

It was a response to our performance last week but it's clear it had ultimately no impact on the goals coming from the right and killed our attacking threat.

Hopefully two weeks will see Taylor and Kota back, hopefully Adams too, Noah James ready to start for Delianov and possibly even a change in the backline. Shaughnessey has been quite underwhelming so far.

I've heard Kota and Adams both about a month away, and James back in training but not even making the bench. Not sure we'll see many changes over the next few games
