A injury replacement for Birighitti - all but two of the US MLS Clubs have finished their season, maybe one of their keepers could be enticed to come as an injury cover.

Put Van God in goals. He's got such a big head that no team will ever squeeze a ball past it.:arse:

I think that before we sign any keepers in the future we should get someone to kick them in the face during the interview to make sure they are up for it.

Due diligence and all that.

Rather ridiculous isn't it our club seems to have keepers either getting kicked in the head and putting themselves out for week/months or they come racing out of the box regularly to get themselves red carded.

Have to be the only club in the world to be suffering this massive two pronged problem.

When I think through World Football in recent times Peter Cech has suffered a few head injuries but there isn't that many other keepers who experience it. For us to have 3 in 3 years what are the odds??

Worse part of it is there are plenty of toss pots out there who need a kicking and don't get it

Never see wankers like Vukobitch and Eugene get the kicking in the head they deserve do you??

Cech got hurt cause he's got a thin skull cause he's a triplet.
It's practically chalk.
Poor bugger never stood a chance.

If you look at the replays of both the Birighitti and Young "accidents" in slow motion, both "accidents" could have been avoided. In the Young incident Smeltz takes another step before kicking Young in the face; in the Birighitti incident Brockie takes another step before kneeing him. When you look at the slow motion replays you start to wonder .............

that's because vukovich closes the striker down and just stands there & watches - like for most of the goals he concedes.

The goalkeeping coach will have to look at technique....however, I remember Bob Catlin copping one in the head during the Newcastle United period and having his face covered with bandages until he had to come off at half time...
