Different players. Virgili much better out on the wing, far more pace and spark out wide. Taggart is much better in the centre, more of a goalscorer.

Taggart def needs to be given a starting spot at least for a couple of games to see what he can deliver. But in saying that can see him only given 10 mins at the end so prepare to be amused PV4.

still, socceroo vs local junior.

i think if gve persists with this super high & super wide game he's been getting us to play, it won't be long before everyone begins to notice how much our fbs & wide mids cancel each other out & how easy it is to defend against us - and hence destroy us. imo what we need is more people in the engine room, in the guts, in the centre in a high position. too much pressure/effort/reliability is being placed on heskey atm, he's struggling without one or two people playing really close to him

BE pretty pissed if we play the same tactics as usual with the same method as usual.

I am calling for 3 at the back.

4 don't work with the shit load of goals we concede so lets go 3 at the back and see if we can keep a clean sheet. May well yet work

Wouldn't mind seeing a 3-5-2 formation

Nashy

Chapo Jobe Ritter at the back

Zads RWB RyGriff LWB

Tarago (JACOB BURNS HACKING ROLE)
Brillante CM

Goodwin Roaming No 10. Got to get this **** more involved

Heskey and Taggz as a front two

Feel getting Taggz up alongside Eskey will benefit him by giving us a in behind option and someone also close to Heskey

Subs Chilli Peppz and Bradbery.

Don't have some of those blokes in Perth but why the **** wouldn't it work??

Are we technically good enough? Not sure......and the way GVE wants to play we would have to be technically, individual technique i'm talking about, we have to be technically really good. That's why Barcelona is prob the best team in the world, they are technically superb, the all squad. You can teach tactics, you can be agressive if you want to be but you cannot teach technique...I hope GVE proves me wrong, i actually would be very happy if he can prove me wrong but if he doesn't then we are not contenders and I personally think we are not prepared (technically) to play the way he wants us to play.....Please Prove Me Wrong!!! I really hope so......

I remember him butchering some decent chances early in the first half. Haven't seen him since. Then again, haven't seen any of the other forwards since the first 10 mins. Same as last game, the 2 in midfield are being dominated while the forwards are running around doing very little. A shame to see that it hasn't been addressed.

Looks hard-pressed to get involved. 2nd half will see more of him I feel.

Have to feel for Oxborrow, soft yellow card and then pretty much an assist at the end there. Hasn't really influenced the game at all though, which is not what we want in the centre of the park.

I'm a jets fan so I'm clearly not in my right mind

resume dates all the way back to Championship Manager 3, includes Club World Championship with jerks and world cup with Oz.

Unfortunately, given Tinklers financial situation, I can't see him being sacked and paid out. He'd have to walk, and given GVEs arrogance, I can't see that happening

With the rotating starting lineup we have there is just no consistency in the play. Its no wonder we play like shit. Add to that, GVE benches or completely drops the best players, there is incentive to not play well.

I'd like to see him start by sticking with a starting 11.

The team once again looks scared in attack though. Scared to shoot, scared to run at players. What are they scared of? I'm guessing its of being dropped, but clearly the way we are playing isn't working which can only lead to dropping GVE.

Thought we weren't that bad......

No hang on we were as expected useless.

Even the Egg is taking the piss with the Members idea to bench Goody. Going to levels that I can't even imagine.

Couldn't understand the decision to start Oxborrow with Brillante available and Peppz ain't injured so why this masterstroke of an idea???

What was also disgraceful was that at HT he hooked Oxborrow straight after making the error that led to the goal. Egg could have won a lot of respect by persevering with Ox for another 10-15 mins before hooking.

Interesting thing is that this team who looked capable of scoring from nothing 6 weeks ago now have scored 3 goals all in one half of football in the last 5 1/2 games.

On another note I can't wait for the impending returns of Kanta and Jobe. World beaters those two!!!

Also why can't Galloway get a start at Mitchells expense FMD and surely Jesic can't be any worse than these guys at present??:lulzturtle::lulzturtle:

We are a looooooong way off the qualty of that Brisbane side though.

Agree with novo, VGE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE

He destroys players confidence, giving a third of the team one game in one game out, nobody knows if they are coming or going.
Heskey needs to take a teddy bear out on the field to keep him company, there is nobody within a stones throw of him for most of the game!
GVE, give up your tinkering, or at least confide it to your bedroom. Stop with all the different formations and trying to make it all about you and your ego.

Go back to a traditional 4-4-2, put Taggart, Griffiths or Bridges up front with Heskey together, and give the boys a few games together as the same team so they have time to gel.
Your always saying it will take timeto gel, it will take 11 years to gel if ou keep changing 3 or 4 players from the starting line up every week.
Oh and just a tip, when someone like Goodwin comes off the bench and has a blinder, and brings the sideback to earn a point, dont put hom on thebench again the following week and destroy his confidence, give the young bloke a reward by starting him the next game!

VGE must go

I thought the 2nd half was good, at least we had a go and IF we put away our chances we could've got at least a draw. BUT you can't keep giving away goals and expect to get anywhere.....2 mistakes at the back and we are 2-0 down early in the 2nd and once again chasing the game. A dubious penalty and the game is out of reach. Why are we constantly getting ourselves in this position???
1/ Constantly changing the CB pairing ( we were back to Tiago/Mitchell last night after having Chapman/Mitchell and Chapman/Regan the last 2 weeks)
2/ Experimenting with players and playing them out of position (Taggart in AM role when he played striker for the Socceroos recently and came to the club as a striker)
3/ Playing favourites instead of just putting the best XI available on the park (can't tell me that Oxborrow was a better option than Pepper last night....why would you "blood" a youngster in a crucial match against a physical side like Perth???? madness!!!)

Thought chapman killed it in the defensive midfield spot. At least when he is on the pitch there is more energy in the midfield, something which we lack and IMO what is costing us points
