Ferreira and Carrusca to rape and pillage down our flanks whilst our fullbacks hump our wingers in the attacking third. Vidosic and Djite to get 15 goals each. GvE to find positives in the experience for our young players.

For those betting types out there how much is this game paying for say 3+ goals to be scored and what would this option usually pay if it was a 50/50 possibility not heavily stacked in favour of occuring .

The way we are leaking/scoring them probably be easy money to get on it and wait for the brain farts to come from our team

Grimario
04-01-2013, 11:40 AM
That's code for a back 3, surely?

Birra
Chapman - Tiago - Mitchell
Zadko - Brillante
Virgili - Ryu - Brown - Goodwin
Heskey

That might mean its only 20 goals conceded.

Though it will probably mean Gallaway and Brillante at FB, maybe Pepper starting.

tab sportsbet has these odds for our game:
over 2.5 goals - $1.70
under 2.5 goals - $2.08

whereas for the wsw v ccm game:
over 2.5 goals - $2.10
under 2.5 goals - $1.68

and the heart vs brisbane game:
over 2.5 goals - $1.85
under 2.5 goals - $1.90

they have an option for exact goals to be scored also, have the option of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5+

Sarting to play better and get some passes and shots off. Griffo nearly scored, Virgilli dribbling well.... and Gallaway's shot..... wtf is he doing up the field not to mention only about 30 seconds before this body checks Vidosic amazingly doesn't give away a free kick. I thought he was good in his first appearance but the rap he just got off the commentators.... i don't know wht games they've been watching him play.... he is less than impressive to say the least

weston

And thats half time. 0-0. Best way to describe it is no one is playing poorly but no one is setting the world on fire by any means. Virgilly and Griff have been our best whith Virgilli only really getting into it in the last 10-15 minutes and could of put Griff through for a one on one with Eugene but for his pass behind the man instead of infront.

Doing alot better defensively bar a few chances in the first 10 minutes.

i'm really not sure what we practice as training. it clearly can't be ball control, passing, marking, spatial awareness or defending. that leaves crossing and shooting. we aren't very good at those either.

small mercies though, clean sheet! when was the last time we had a clean sheet at half time?

I like this no handball call. It hit the chest/shoulder first and even then its not conclusive it touched Heskeys hand, but they are saying even if it did than he wouldn't of had control over the ball after hitting the shoulder therefore maing it accidental and no penalty. Brings back memories from round 1. This one was called correctly though thank god.

Brown is absolutely horrendous. At the moment, I would take Jardel over him. Seriously, playing him is doing more harm than good ATM.

And next week, assuming Heskey is playing, Bridges must be on the bench, as well as Taggart.

Also credit to Timmy and the rest of the squadron today for doing their bit to defuse and point out the dipshit who brought and ignited the flare.

What happened at the end though with the cops?

Regan had great game as well. Good to see him put a good performance in after being left in the cold.

Great to see Bridges get a run. Played well for the time he was. Still think at the very least he needs to be on the bench to give the option of some experience at the end of matches.

All up, I am not unhappy at all with the game. Some decent periods of attack, no goals conceded. Hopefully now we can build on the performance.

I said it elsewhere in here, credit to the squadron for getting rid of the flare and self policing in outing the idiot who bought it in.

Regan and chapman. It works perfectly for me. Ones scrappy, passionate and a good communicator, the other Is a good ball player, has good engines and can read the play.

How Taylor Regan has been shunted for most of the season for Mitchell and to a lesser extent Tiago is beyond belief.
Regan done enough last season to at least start this year as one of the CB's, instead he was demoted to #4 (or even #5 if you count Ritter) in the pecking order.
The defence has been a shamozle for most of the season to date, Regan plays and the team gets it's first cleansheet of the season....please explain Gary???

Totally agree... Mitchell in my eyes is number 5. Chapman is doing great and only 17!!!... If necessary Ritter and Regan would be appalling in central defense and we all know now that unfortunatly Tiago has been put in the same bag as Werhman last year. Amazing the difference in a player when he plays a position that is suited to him. Griffo is always most effective out wide, just isn't suited to playing as a #10....only taken GVE about 5 or 6 games to realise that.

The Sunday Telegraph just can't seem to let the "truth" get in the way of a good story. Little article in there today about this game and mentions that "....a flare was thrown onto the FIELD". I'd love to know where they got this info as I clearly remember the flare not being thrown onto the field at all. I was in the Western stand and it looked like Timmy V had grabbed the flare while still in the bay and taken it over to a security personnel who took it behind the southern end.
Yes a flare was lit by some idiot but at least report the truth and don't try to over-dramatise the incident by writing that it was thrown onto the field.....anti-sockah smellygraph!!!

Brillante hasn't won me over yet. He gave the ball away 4 or 5 times in the first 15 minutes in this game, got better as the game wore on but he has a bad habit of turning into players as does Gallaway. I also think Brillante at this stage of his career is better suited as a RB or LB. Pepper was coming along fine in this role last season, seems that Brillante is above him now in the pecking order.

Whats wrong with flares?

For a start the powers that be have put them on the prohibited list for entry to the stadiums on the basis that they present a safety risk. So point blank fans ain't allowed them in the ground on legal grounds.

Secondly the smoke can have effects on people nearby particularly with any respiratory issues

Thirdly the flare can possible malfunction and cause injury to the person ripping it or possibly others nearby.

Other than that they can provide colour and excitement but no matter how much we want them we ain't ever gonna be allowed them.

PS On another note Cracker Night should be brought back. Bag of crackers walking around the nearby neighbourhood one winters night each year blowing shit up!!! **** the RSPCA having to chase pets for the next week who ran off, **** the hospitals who had a bit of work treating the idiots who hung on to something for too long, **** the Firies who had to work for the night instead of kipping at the station.

Great way for the kids to let off steam and Darwins theory of evolution was allowed to operate without restriction where the dumb ****s in society lost fingers!!!

If the wrong person was accused, did they say something? From where I was sitting they appeared to leave without any fuss once identified.

And it's well known flares are illegal at the football. Not only is it dangerous, but it brings negative attention to the supporters, the club and the sport in general - we deal with enough people who are "anti-soccer" as it is.

People are well within their right to point out supporters who can cause potential harm to others around them. It certainly isn't "dobbing".

I wonder if Tommy will appogize for accusing the wrong person, he was pointed out and blamed when innocent... Poor Form from all involved.

And whats the go with everyone dobbing on everyone, Wrong person with the Flare, Drummer got moved on, Dickheads throwing beers at Tommy and the Drummer.. SHIT GO.. were all there to support the Jets, lets also support eachother....

Not sure if serious, or taking the piss.
