Firstly, Garcia isn't a forward. secondly, neither of the other two were better. Thirdly, Archie is a current socceroo. Fourthly, there are more MV fans than any others so a slight bit of bias is expected. Fifthly, his coach is the teams coach

Why exactly do they need an interest in this game? Maybe they should be more pissed off at their own clubs for not having better players and/or performing better, than worrying about a voting system.

At the end of the day, the team selection for this was going one of two ways - a voting system like has been done, or an A-league based Socceroos (which would have caused more controversy, as Taggart would have been selected but barely played, ADP & Ono couldn't be shown off, etc etc).

And just quietly, the whole game was a farce before half the league wasn't voted in. It's a fluff game to promote the HAL on FTA plus gives Orsies a chance to check out Manure live. Just let it be.

I thought the all stars did fine. It's about getting man united out here. We missed a trick by not getting Miller I feel. I think the concept has merit for the future. Just sucks the timing meant players that would have made the team are away with the national team. ADP would have made a huge difference tonight.

The most puzzling thing of the night: The "Foxtel A-League All stars" game was not televised on Foxtel, but on FTA.

Went to the game and I must say it was a good night. It's hard to argue the immense talent of Man U. I'm not a Man U supporter, but I couldn't turn down the chance to see them (Giggs, RVP, Wellbeck) in the flesh.

Also, while the whole "allstars" concept is a decent shot and raising the overall standard of the team. But it completely ruins the atmosphere. I went with a football neutral person who asked, "why is everyone booing him? isn't he the captain (Emerton)?". This is the problem. There's 11 teams represented. Thos supporting Man U, and the 10 A-League teams. So, any 1 All-Star player has 10/11 fans 'against' him.


Wednesday will be so much better. (at least 80% LFC supporters vs Victory fans). Atmosphere should be soooo much better.

All in all, good for Australia and Football.

Last night was all about everyone pushing their brands be they Man U, FFA and Foxtel. By all reports people had a good night so it looks like a worthwhile exercise for all involved.
