Chinese club is a rouse, designed to deflect suspicion from a GVE/ Middleby plan to sign Griff as an Aussie Marquee to Newcastle but loaning him out to china for 3 months to get him match fit for round 1 against Sydney.

Yeah but you are putting faith in GVE and Middleby to make dreams come true.

Sounds ****ing delusional to me

Agreed.

RM and egg would have trouble fixing the result of a chook raffle even if they were the only halfwits holding tickets.

Apparently they got no money for him?

Brother Ryan schooled Griff on how to perform what's known in the industry as a "Middleby".

A Middleby.

Is that like having egg on your face ?.

Put simply its the art of being the weakest/dumbest/least skilled/gullible person in the room regardless of your fellow inhabitants.

At the Jets we have one of the world leaders in the field.

My definition was a little more rude and crude.

in a few weeks no one will ever remember anything about these eight games

much like other events towards the end of last season that shall fade from memory and never be spoken of again

But at some point he fooled someone into thinking he could do the job.... Palmer.

Going by the Sydney forum, they'll be glad to see the end of the "sack whacker"

Which only makes it that much sweeter. SFC butthurt, Griff no longer playing for such a honking club, all's well that ends well.

Btw no coincidence that we haven't played a game against Griff since he left on His Great Journey. First Beijing, now SFC, all part of His plan.

He's definately played against us at least once. Ryan scored in Beijing and Joel couldn't quite work out if he wanted to celebrate or not. Pretty sure Dapuzzo flipped him in-game aswell.

Yep, the Griff left on a free transfer.
Pignata is the new Middleby.

Ok maybe I'll give him a pass if he had to dump salaries to get under the cap (esp with the return of Carle).

Still: no excuse for Middleby.

Middleby out.

This is a mere imitation of the genius move Middleby made.

Mid-season vs Off-season
Top-goalscorer vs Not top-goalscorer
One of our only quality, well-paid players vs Another player in a squad full of overvalued stars
Established squad member who was loved by the fans vs A God but one that fickle Sydney fans were bagging out themselves and had only been there for 6 months

No-one out-Middlebys Middleby.

Yep - played against us despite constant reassurances when the deal was being done that he wouldn't play against the Jets.

The day I renounced my devotion.

Griff with a brace in China. Gloriously led his his team to come back from 1-0 down to win 4-1. For his teammates it is a moment that they will treasure for the rest of their lives, for Griff it is just another day
