West lake macquarie / fishing point?

I know there are a few on here that live on the west side of the lake, what kind of area is fishing point, are there shops/pub etc near by? how much trouble is it getting into games if you don't want to drive?

There's a disc golf course going in early next year so it's awesome.

Fishing Point is nice enough.

if you completely don't want to drive it's pretty difficult to get to games unless you can scab a lift with pv4. If you can drive/get a lift to Awaba or Fassifern Stations its not too bad to get the train in.

Pros:

- You be livin' on da west side :cool:
- 2283
- Rathies shops (bakery, etc.)
- Fewer pretentious CUBs than Coal Point, Kilaben Bay
- Legit nice area

Cons:

- You'll be in very close proximity to pv4
- The Bowl Rats (Rathies skate park)

Right next door to rathys. Which has a servo, cafe, bottleo, physio, chinese, butchers, gift shop, newsagent, 2x hairdressers, 2x real estate agents, tuck shop. Rathys has a bowlo too. Then wangi is 5 mins drive away, has a rocking pub with legendary Wednesday night snitzels.

Good luck getting to jerks games without driving. Your best bet is a lift or drive to fassi station (8 mins away, or 15 if you're militiamon)

If you ever want a rathys, fishing point, arcadia vale, wangi tour than I'm your man.

Nice area, going out there for Christmas tomorrow funny enough.

Having said that it's a fair way from your westfields, Charlie squares, finnegans, wests so I'd more then likely get bored out there if I lived out there.

Having said that if you owned a boat it would be pretty good.
