Who can it be?

Rudan out before he gets any ideas

GazFish35

Heard him talk of his love for western Sydney at one of the FFA/WSW community forums at Rooty hill RSL.

I'd not want him in the jets sheds, we'd lay down for the fibro's every time.

Would be like Steve Bruce managing against man Utd.

Paul Okon. Ex-captain. Been working with young players for a few years

Papas or okon

Both know the club and have served there footballing apprenticeships

This is the most important thing IMO. I don't want another Aloisi. Even Milicic would be a better option than Rudan.

FFS, what qualifications does Rudan have anyway?

Papas would be a good choice. Not enjoying his time in India if his twitter is anything to go by. Went there for the pay check. Think he would almost certainly come back.

I agree, I think Milicic is ready. He has at least 5 or 6 years now behind him as a coach; first with Sydney United, then 2 years under Van Schipt with Heart and now in his 2nd season under Poppa at WSW. Been involved with Socceroo Youth teams as well and don't forget he played in the inaugural season for us and......one of his kids is born in Newcastle!

It's called an apprenticeship mate, at least spend some times at a bigger club as an assistant or youth coach.

Rudan; do not want.

Would take Okon or Pappas.

God no. I'm a Cardiff fan and Season ticket holder and he is more tactically inept than GVE. His only game plan is 10 men behind the ball then hoof it to a lone striker.

He does appear to be good at divulging confidential club information to the media and taking bungs tho

let me rephrase that.

the thing i disliked about dutchy was that he would public humiliate players for mistakes or for not being good enough to play his system.

okon also has a problem with shredding players who aren't as brilliant as he was during his playing career. he has a problem managing players of average quality, the type of which the a-league is filled with. he may have changed but i don't want the jets to take the risk.

I assume this is with reference to his time managing one of the national youth teams? Any sauces for that sandwich? (not that I don't believe you, just interested)

Don't think we need to pick a coach who gets ready to commentate on a game by ducking out for a couple of lung lollies.

Not the message we need to send to the kiddies

Though it would look awfully cool if he was puffing away on the bench and brought back the look of the old 80's and 90's Italian or Argie games where half the bench including the subs were puffing away on Marlboro's all game

I'm actually not even joking when I say this...Slobs.

I honestly believe you need no credentials whatsoever to win an a-league title, as Gary showed in 08. Just have a good team, and let it do it all itself.

Gary's problem was that he actually started trying to coach.

Agree: It's not as much about football / tactics but more about psychology and managing a squad + ....a bit of luck (However u have to push your luck)
