Best thread. Well in M-Mon.
Ref was awful.
Slater was awful.
Anyone not rating Mooy ain't watching the same player I am.
Labi (swoon).
Middleby out for choosing Bridges over both Labi AND Sasho.
How's that working out for you Robbie?

Still cracks me up to think we didn't offer him a new contract. Like we thought Bridges/Gibbs were better options :rof:
Bloke must have the best record as a substitute in the A-League. Can't think of a more prolific player off the bench.

Also word on the Mooy call plague. Who was it who said he wasn't creative the other day? lololol, this is Aaron Mooy we're talking about, not Brodie. Y'know, the one who is all about creativity?

He corrected his pronunciation of Stefanutto a few times then just gave up and kept calling him Stef Are Nar Tow and pretending he wasn't wrong.

It was more his blatant bias towards WSW.

Hersi dives = smart play or rough defending, referee appraised for blowing whistle
Topor thug tackles = nothing defender could do to avoid contact there..... Ref bagged for blowing whistle.

He had balckandred cock in his mouth the whole night. Deadset if Kewell played from them he commentate naked and you'd hear him wanking under the table.

I would never have waisted a beer, even the mid strength beer impersonator at the stadium, on GVE.

Coating him in beer would have increased his value.

I agree though, its not on. That said, ejecting fans for a banner isn't on either, we all know the appropriate response is threats of being thrown off a balcony.

Looks like Sydney FC have big problems atm.. Not a good look throwing stuff at the coach. The Cove supporters that held the banner up to get rid of Farina and the sign in Russian to the club owner to remove family board members have been given their marching orders from the ground by security and others followed them and they are now outside the ground yelling to get Frank out... I suppose it's a watch this space situation

Will always respect the right of fans to protest, they're the ones funding the salaries of these people after all

but

this is why I am generally against fan protests against the coach. If they're truly terrible (e.g last in consecutive seasons) or if they embarrass the club/fans in some way off the pitch, then fair enough. As soon as you make a banner for it though you're making a big statement, and if there isn't an overwhelming majority who support it, then things can get messy.

I know some people would have liked to have done a similar thing with Gary a month ago, but I think this goes to show how precarious it can be.

More effective way of doing it might have been to unveil it at the end of the match, that way you make the same statement but there is nowhere near as much personal criticism. Still, don't think think it was wrong in any way, but it has led to a pretty ugly situation for all parties.

The banner in Russian might have actually stirred the ire of the FFA a bit more.

Out of curiosity

e) not engage in discrimination, harassment or abuse in any form, including the use of
obscene or offensive language or gestures, the incitement of hatred or violence or
partaking in indecent or racist chanting;

I know it is a broad brush and a very liberal broad view but could the authorities not use this part of the spectator code of conduct to claim Smurfs fans were in breach of the Code.

I understand the fans should be allowed to say what they like about Farina but the banners and their message could fit under the bit about abuse
