I'm taking Plague Jnr out of the state in order to help our chances.
We are a big chance here.

Still 100% convinced will get the points here, heart jets 2-1, mariners 2-0.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

Never bet against the jets. I learnt it the hard way back at the end of season 4, will never happen again. It shows complete unloyalty and somewhat of a temptation you want them to lose.

Even though they may lose on Saturday the end of the day we want them to win, we want to get the 3 points and humilate our arch rivals on their home turf and finally get into that final 6 which has been a huge issue for us in the last couple seasons.

I do agree with you SD, in theory..

I have never bet against the Jets, just trying to emphasise the fact that no matter what form our Jets or the Mariners are in, the dirty coasties always seem to get us down at their ground..
I have bet on the Jets, and we NEVER win whenever I have money at stake..

A-League site has both 730 and 745 listed in two different areas

hence the confusion. Better to post the earlier time rather than the later time so people dont miss kickoff

THere will be plenty of seats free. Did you sdee how many were free last night?

It'll feel like a home game...and we will lose.

If I'm serious for a second, there is no better chance to break this hoodoo than this weekend. A weakened Mariners squad, a mid week game, we are coming off a good win.

It can't be any worse than last time...can it?

Chapo got injured early in the season. Came back played a few Yoof games and then went off with the Young Socceroos to Wherever for the Asian Championships in January. Since then the bloke has been back playing in the Yoof team non stop.

The Referee – Peter Green

Green has never refereed an F3 derby.
We have been refereed by Green 16 times since Season 2, with a W-D-L record of 6-2-8. We have, however, won the last two games he has officiated.
When we are the travelling team, we have only won twice in 6 matches, losing the other 4 matches.
Green has booked the Jets more times than the opposition (28-22).
Green has awarded only 3 penalties in all matches involving the Jets. All of these came in the one match – the final against the Brisbane Roar back in Season 3.
Green is the referee who sent Jobe Wheelhouse off after 8 minutes in a clash with the Melbourne Heart.

Unfortuantly you were right birraz was the 1st goalkepper to make a major mistake in the history of football and we should call up the oldest 2nd string in the comp who has had his chance 3 years ago and hasnt had a look in since.

If your a 2nd string in this comp for 3 years and dont get picked up theres a major reason for it.

Ive played gk for ten years in the top 2 divs in newcastle and coming from gk kennedy scares the crap out of me every time thd ball comes near him and all I think about is that flop dive thing he did against A.D.P last year.

No, he has made many mistakes, absolute howler tonight
BK was very very average before he got benched, Birraz generally performs at an above average level, ergo better than BK, therefore he gets the starting position. If BK isn't getting a look in then there's a damn good reason for it.

Please before birraz signed BK got the players player as soon as GVE got his boy that was the end of BK's chances for game time.

Fact remains birraz should not be above criticism and people bringing bk into it in the first place to validate not even discussing birraz obvious flaws is weak as piss.

I've seen it all now, either Gallaway is reading the foz posts about just giving the ball straight to the opposition at throw ins, or we have actually found a way to get worse at throw ins.

Nice to see some developing combinations between heskey, griffo and taggs.

Nice save from birraz there too.

Yeah, don't know what Zane was thinking with those subs. Griff didn't look exhausted, Heskey was dead on his feet with 15 to go. Gallaway was average, Carney/Goodwin to LB would have made more sense. Caravella, the attacking part of the midfield hooked when we are chasing a goal.

Definitely need a proper coach next season... shame it will be Bridges.

I'll say this. When a players week includes punching (or head butting) on with a team mate at training, rumours of ****ing off overseas, and then comes up with the howler of a performance tonight....you have to ask where their head is at. I'll be honest I wouldn't be phased if I was him either, he's the preferred keeper Zane won't drop him & not for the untried in what 18 months BK, has BK even been playing youth recently. More importantly was he playing when Zane was in charge of the youth.

Having said that if I was Zane I would be a little concerned about my starting keeper becoming over comfortable and complacent and I'd be looking to shake things up at training to make sure birraz is focused on the jets not Germany.

Hey, at least Mrs Grim was the one purchasing it. It always tastes better when its not you having to pay for it!!

Having not seen the game yet, so I can't make any other comments.. hahaha
I couldn't make it down due to a good mates bday which was at fvcking Honeysuckle Hotel, and the pricks wouldn't put the game on. SEVEN large tvs, 4 with rugby league, 3 with rugby union and staff would not put one of them on to the Jets game. When asked if they would/could change one small tv to it, these are some of the various excuses we got:
- "You have to ask someone who works here" - Dumb-as-a-stick Secco
- "The remote controls are broken" - Fat-head inbred barman who just changed it from the Wanders game to the meatheads
- " We aren't able to do that" - Insanely nice-arsed hot bird behind bar

Fvck that place..

Good old Wests had Roosters v Parra on in the bistro. More people were interested in watching the excitement of one Sydney team beat another Sydney team in boofheadball by 50 points.
