they're wearing volleys <3
Who cares??
One of the most over rated piles of crap in world sport and the Aussie commentators take Broadcasting to new record lows of ignorance when they claim it is the biggest sporting event on the planet and that it means something important when some Aussie wins a medal in some sport bugger all people on the planet play.
it's steph rice. she can do whatever she wants.
Ahhh of course.. I should have realised it was Ricey.. Didn't recognise her without a complimenting stream of homophobic tweets.. haha
suck on that one
It's Stephanie Rice. There was some mild uproar. Bit silly really seeing as she's a swimmer and gets medals for going on TV in a swimsuit...
the only good thing to ever happen in swimming imo, a trashy bogan who is into taking her clothes off and putting pictures on the internet
(y)
Its all gai until the 1st events kicks off then its eyes to the box. Water cooler convo worthy.
Cant wait to wake up the morning after competiyion starts to ... "its good news for australia overnight, michael diamond has taken gold in the mens double trap" followed by highlights of the medal ceremony
Can't wait to see some handball. It's like a mix of everything. Wish it was beggar (existent) here in Australia.
Edit: By "beggar", I mean bigger. Thanks autocorrect.
Will watch but have to avoid the bogan, nationalistic fervour of Channel Nein....will stick with Fox, at least I will see some football (and handball) there.
I just hate spending an hour listening about "Aussie Heroes" who get a bronze in something, whilst a world record performance in a sport we don't care for is ignored.
And don't get me started on the opening ceremony, where Nein commentators will fap over the latest outfits the Aussies wear. "A wonderful shade of beige and green reflecting the colours of the Aussie outback....."
john steffensen going mental, love this bloke
also poor old steve hooker, got the major yips.
Reckon I'll be watching it on Fox mostly so thought I'd see who they had as commentators. Might have to find the mute button on the remote.

FOX FOOTY presenter and host Eddie McGuire will headline Foxtel’s daytime coverage....
tuning in for the sally robbins moments
i don't mind watching the paralympics
not something you would want to compete in tho.i spose.
That is bogan central - a big pass on that commentary team !Quote:
Foxtel has assembled an expert swimming commentary team including one of Australia’s most successful swimmers ever, Olympic gold medallist Susie O’Neill. She will be joined poolside by high profile sports journalist Rebecca Wilson, and 2GB Sydney radio host Ray Hadley, who will be calling the nail-biting action from the competition in the pool.
I see Tracey Holmes has been exhumed again - she is never seen the rest of the four years.
Tiffany Cherry - mmmmm and where is Mel FFS ??!
I've just been looking at the TV guide for it - http://www.foxtel.com.au/london2012/tvguide/default.htm
there's a few football matches on before the whole thing starts, mostly women's football early on
it all really starts on the evening of Saturday 28 July, of particular interest is the road cycling gold medal
Quite a controversial logo for the games
Looking most forward to the kayaking, rowing, swimming & hamma throwing
can`t wait to see the action from the velodrome. i like watching the teams event and the stacks
wonder if the national anthems are correct

unfortunately this smoke machine will not be there (n)
and apparently Allison Stokke won't be pole jumping for the US team either
saw the first "the athletes are going to have lots of sex" story today on SMH. swear they just re-use the story from the 1908 olympics.
