Can Stubbins be our coach/manager/CEO/football operations manager all in one? Very very impressed with that article!!

“For me potential means that you’re simply not good enough yet and I’m not having that,” Stubbins said.
sack them all big phil
Great idea getting the players to do a basic Coaching course. Might develop an appreciation for what it's like for the Gaffer and Coaching Staff.Quote:
“We’re getting them all in to do their C level coaching licence,” he said.
“It’s a decent initiative to get all the boys together and get them interacting in a less stressful environment – mind you though it can be stressful doing a coaching course.
“We’ll have a players’ meeting prior to doing the coaching course and there will be a presentation on how we want to structure things moving forward, the etiquette that we feel is necessary for the group and how we want the players to represent the Newcastle Jets jersey.”
Stubbins making all the right noises so far, let's hope it results in something tangible
:lol:FFS
Heard the same bullshit when HSG came in
Heard the same bullshit when GVE was reappointed.
Heard the same bullshit under Con back in the day.
All ****ing talk we are.
Who gives a **** about publicly stating our philosophies??
How about stating our ambitions by winning games and kicking some arse
Until then shut the **** up
FFS
Well memberinhio to start off he's already calling bullshit on the whole lets be a club that develops players over winning games. That is the complete opposite to what we heard before. Phil 4 lyf
Melb Citeh getting Villa to play in our pissant league should be reason enough for the double- eff-aye to let them have whatever colour shirt they want.

Number of players in that article, Rodriguez was one of them. Doesn't fit although would have been spectacular.
Would take Yossi in a heartbeat.
Reading that article sounds like jeronimo may be the sth American striker....
Ricard porta.
McGlinchey is back, 2 year deal at Phoenix.
Flores.
Please be true
The Newcastle Jets are pleased to announce the signing of Johnny Warren Medal winner @MarcosFlores85! http://bit.ly/1xuPMZg #NTUA
Can't be real.
Has he done a competent medical test?
As usual was hoping for more but he knows the league, has something to prove against the scum and if fit will provide many of chances, still a little underwhelmed
you mustn't have been going to games for the 3 and a half years gve was in charge, watching negative possession based football, why go forward when you can go back. While I'll watch an entertaining scoreless draw. Everybody wants to see goals, had enough of boring pass it back football. So will give Phil Stubbins a chance, been fed the same lines by management and need to see results, not talk.
I'll claim Liverjet and I spotting him in the jets box with Elrich at the last game v Adelaide :)
Made note to stormypete at the time too.
Not 100% sure on Flores, But at least we have signed a decent no 10. Thats been the issue since carle left, no decent attacking mid. James Brown was brought into the team to do the job, But wasnt able to do the job.
Flores has the pedigree, right age and skill. The worry is that he is coming off ACL injury and both hisl last clubs have shown him the
door in the mariners and victory. Is he coming as the marquee signing? Personally I would be looking for Visa players in the Secunda divison, second league in spain like Adelaide did or the bundesliga 2, where brisbane first picked up berisha.
Culina pt2Quote:
He was seriously injured, suffering an Anterior cruciate ligament tear, and was put out for the rest of last season. .
Definitely under the cap. Not the marquee
Try hard tough talk? By calling you a whinger? You're underwhelmed so far… so enlighten us as to who we should be signing right now?
If we signed Villa on a guest stint, you'd be whinging that it only messes up our rhythm because he leaves after 10 games and it's a PR stunt to get fans in. If we signed someone unknown import, you'd probably bring up Drovandi and Hakansson and complain that we suck as signing imports…
Geezus how touchy will we all be after being sleep deprived for next month?
I know of a few players that the jets had talked to a fair bit more exciting than a talented yet not consistent a-league journeyman that obviously didn't progress as planned. My opinion is my opinion, I don't WHINGE when someone doesn't agree with it. I'm more than happy with this signing provided on the right money and that we see Flores putting in for the team not just on the offensive end but also when asked to pressure defensively something he doesn't like to do. Put simply I'm not goin to blow my load over Flores like you halo but I hope he recovers well and provides what we been missing.
One was that Christian Rodriguez and there were 2 others that my source wouldn't give me the names but described their careers to date without telling me the exact clubs they played for as he knew I'd more than likely have them on here in no time. My source tells me he's been warned already about divulging info so I doubt I'll get much more out of him. Won't tell me anything about this striker we meant to be close to signing
No way we could afford Rodriguez, his been shopped around to A-League clubs by his agent. That doesn't mean we've talk to the player it's more than likely his agent has leaked that information to create interest in his client but I'm just speculating there. End off Rodriguez is out of our field no chance of us signing a 29yr La Liga defending champion who is about to play in the World Cup.
Anyone catch soccer stoppage time? Who kocked us back?
