yeah i saw the game to.. and a non biast opinion here would have me agree with you left right out. ill even go out on a limb and say barnsley were the better side. The ref certainly wasnt on there side in first grade.
from my angle I saw another even affair. both have quality squads. Barns won the first half although 0-0. Dudley the 2nd up until they sat back with 15 to go and invited Barnsley in. seen barnsley twice this yr and have noticed some (a few) Barnsley turn on some disappointing behaviour when they go behind, this goes beyond the usual frustrated rant. why? pen calls were soft although i have seen them given.
fair enough dudley definately setting the bar in 3rds and reserves though !
uni seems to be the gun side in 1sts
They were "soft" yes, but you shouldnt need to have a leg broken to get a penalty. On the halfway line they would have been fouls, therefore should be pens. Thats my theory anyway!Quote:

pretty tough day out at Dudley. they definitely make it a good day... nice cold beers and a good sizzle...
didnt see the 2nd half of 3rds, but the boys seemed to think they threw it away.
us in resies certainly threw it away in the 2nd half... being up 3-1, extra man on the pitch but then conceding just before and after half time to make it 3-3, and getting a player sent of ourselves didnt help, then dudley score a winner right at the death.
only ourselves to blame. they wanted it more in the 2nd half.
1st was a good game. i think a draw would have been fair, but thats the way it goes hey.
need to pick it up against plattsy on wednesday.
