But then we got this
Reading the RBB facebook decision to not support Terrace Australis is f*cking hilarious. God you'd think football in Australia had never existed before the Wanderers the way these self-entitled pricks carry on. So you had great support in your first season - where you finished 1st. Congratulations, see you after you miss the finals one year.
It is rather hilarious listening to these dickheads carry on. Don't wish to support be involved with the Terrace Australis active support group because it is FFA sanctioned \ driven because the FFA has banned some of their misbehaving fans.
Dumb ****s don't even seem to be aware let alone acknowledge its the same FFA who funds and runs their club.
Can't wait for the shit to hit the fan at their club.
The arrogance of their fans needs a hard bitch slap from reality
If it's on Myface it must be true
FFA posting that game at Homebush is sold out
Found this poorly researched piece on TWG site tonight.
Alarm bells started ringing when I read that statement. It didn't take long checking a few birthdays on Wiki and thinking of Peter Shilton and Roger Milla off the top of me head. FMD, who writes this shit? Schwarzer will be 41 on the 6th October this year so yes, 41y 8mths next year if we make it and he's selected. Roger Milla born 20 May 1952 was 42y 2 mths in USA 1994. Peter Shilton born 18th Sept 1949 was 40 and 9 months at Italia 90. It will make Schwarzer the oldest goalkeeper in WC history and the oldest Aussie player by far as well, but not "the oldest player ever".Quote:
As if facing a must-win encounter in front of more than 80,000 expectant fans wasn't daunting enough.
For many of the Socceroos a victory against Iraq on Tuesday represents their last chance to play in a World Cup.
Australia's most capped player Mark Schwarzer, who would be 41 come next year's showpiece in Brazil, would become the oldest ever player at a World Cup should the Socceroos triumph over world No.98 Iraq at Stadium Australia.......bla bla bla
Good call Retro. Seems that that probably just got that line from this Herald Sun article:
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/fo...-1226660953356
Which has the headline:
"Socceroos goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer adopts strict meat and veg diet in bid to become World Cup's oldest player"
but confusingly, if you read the article itself it says exactly what you pointed out:
And a quick check of the FIFA stats confirms this:Quote:
If he plays at next year's World Cup he will become the oldest keeper to do so, overtaking illustrious trio Pat Jennings, Peter Shilton and Dino Zoff, and the second oldest player after Camerunian Roger Milla.

stop the presses!
A good lesson for you parksey when you inevitably end up becoming a sub-editor writing the headlines of other peoples stories.
it's a living
The herald sun..... What else would you expect.
Surprised there's no quote from a victim of a sokkah riot climbing schwarzer hit her child
For anyone joining us at the Terrace Australis meet up at Whelans aka Strathfield Hotel, there will be "I Told You So" Johnny Warren Football Foundation scarves on sale for $15 each
all monies will be going straight back to the JWFF
from TA foz
Quote:
We are leaving Whelans at 6:10, there is a train at 6:14pm and we will be at the Olympic park station at around 6:21pm.
We will march in singing songs and be in side the stadium at 6:35pm
Am catching the 330 train from hamilton, if anyone else is training it down.
Def keen for a scarf
Any newy lads unsure of where Whelans is, just get off at Strathy and follow the Everton Rd exit signs. Its to the right of the roundabout and you should see it as soon as you exit the station.
Apparently its happy hour drinks all day and a free sausage sizzle from what I have read. Expect epicness and a large turnout.
Football day, fire up, farken.....and all that.

Ali Abbas is the inside man. Don't worry they've got it covered.

Winning this would be great for our chances of qualifying
Can't wait for tonight
if we lose it's because Muz wasn't setting off car alarms out the front of hotels last night
