He was never that good and our foreign spot could be better used elsewhere. I'm not saying he was terrible, he was our best defender this season but thats not saying much
Meh, he was ok, definitely not our best defender, but a pretty handy one. I liked more what I saw in the pre-season where he was used as an attacking LB where he got forward and was taking players on, as opposed to his role later this season as a CB.
Goodwin be lookin for a new roomy
To me the issue with Ritter is pretty straight forward. He is an OK player at this level but nothing special and like all has a few weaknesses for opposition to exploit. With the way our season went this year and the fans seeming to want change/ dramatic improvement to arrest our low pecking order place Ritters future looks bleak.
As most of our squad is already signed we only have what 4-5 positions left. Now we can resign Ritter or we can look to sign a replacement superior to him that will hopefully fix a few of our issues. I don't see the Ritter/Chapo partnership being world beater material next season. I do though like the idea of getting a bigger quicker in who can offer some leadership and direction t the side/defence and also help Chapo out.
To me the choice is pretty simple Bye Bye Dom
I wonder what Nick Carle's situation will be next year when he returns from loan, now ADP has been re-signed?
Could be a good option for the number 10 role Bridges currently fills.
Thought Ritter was ok.
Better than some of the turd sangas the club has dished us up.
If price is ok then I'd be happy to have him back.
Middleby will **** it up regardless though.
Ritter > Byun> Simic
Need a good quality, experienced, left footed stopper who can organise and communicate effectively. Then let chapman and Reagan fight for the right side. Someone in the mould of zwansvijk, bosshart or even Adrian madaschi. Only then start worrying about other signings
Ha simic, forgot him pretty quickly
madaschi jeeeeeez he stinks
Id take madaschi for sure. At least he wont add to the foreign quota as well. Failing that, maybe make a move to bring back Milan Susak home although im not sure if he is a left stopper or not.
We just need better defenders!
Some good names, just needed to think a little harder!
Susak not exactly the big strong commanding type I think we need
I was only throwing possible names out there. Probably the best of the Gypos as he never come across as much of a **** but just a bloke who gives 110% all the time.
At the end of the day with our present struggles I am getting to the stage where I would be content if we went and signed 3-4 Gypos if it sees us ****ing improve. I am just plain well over not ENJOYING watching the Jets play coz we are shit all round.
good to see vitsi back on the forum
what i saw of madaschi at heart, he was good. that's about all i've ever seen of him though, tbf. he did wonders for their team - i'm pretty sure they're trying to get him back.
Spira on a fair bit of dough where he is
Heart have freed up a fair bit of cash with colosimo and thommo leaving so would probably be hard to out bid them for madaschi although i would throw a fair bit at him, was very good for heart
Will we ever hear any news regarding GVE, I heard a rumour (cant disclose his details) suggesting that its being considered to promote Bridges to coach and GVE in a technical role, would suit that role alot better, as he can use his skills of scouting the young talent, and leave what he struggles with most his man management.
personally i believe Bridges would be a great option. has a great rapport with the group, would still demand the respect, and has worked with many good managers in his time
yeah you are right milicic is another great option, although this is only what i heard thats why the push to get his relevant certificates completed.
However i don't see professionalism in our management showing any real desire or commitment in getting back to the top of this league!, if they were we would have seen some action by now!
its very disappointing
I thought the certificates were being obtained so he can coach the emerging jets u18 side. Big call to put him in charge of the 1sts. Then again it is the Jerks
Duncan gone to Perth.
