No problem with guys having a crack. I only dislike the mid season departure.
This off season should be good for us as we are an attractive option.

Lawrie came out the same day and said that Dimi won't be going anywhere, and there's no provision for release clause in his contract.
I'm assuming that means they learnt a lesson last time around.
Also, the "rumour" came out in the same article about Sydney FC resigning players, so I'll take that nonsense with a grain of salt.
True.
I meant, which was absolutely clear from my post (ha ha :gent:), is who is coming off contract in the A-League. That's a standard article that Fox produce every year but I've still not seen any! I know it was already out becuse I used it for a podcast in December last year.
We better hope Ronny and Pato get up to speed quickly if its the case.
Not having a release clause puts us in a strong position, and I hope that (if Dimi is indeed looking at moving) the club makes sure it is well worth our while - and also has an eye on next season recruits.
what would be enough money to make losing Dimi worth it?
Also this seems to be a good list for off-contract a-league players

Look, I’m not trafficking in hope like some, but he made the Aussie squad by playing well for the Jets. I think it’s a massive risk to move out of that environment and risk being rendered invisible through lack of spotlight.
Now, that’s if the WC is his ultimate dream. If he’s just keen on getting ‘paid’ then by all means take that opportunity.
Also, I’ve read a bit on here about ‘disgruntled player’ not getting the option to leave.
In all honesty apart from “that dude that shares a last name with but is unrelated to Griff” have we ever as a club had that sort of standoff?
Cause fans very rarely side with players in these disputes so they better be in all on being dicks about it to secure their move.
Just curious, has it been reported anywhere that Dimi wants to go?
I would imagine that he'd be fairly settled here, he'd be on good money, in a winning team, a coach who allows him to play, a fan base that adores him, he's just made the national squad for the first time and that's just his professional life. On the home front, he and his wife appear happy, settled and have just become parents plus he couldn't settle in his previous stint in Asia, what incentive is there for him to move at this point in time. He's only young, his chance will come, hopefully in Europe at a later date
I'm fairly confident this list is correct or thereabouts for uncontracted AL players at the end of this season:
