never a dull moment hey

Club Statement – David Carney
Newcastle Jets wish to inform its members, fans and media that the club has withdrawn a breach of the code of conduct previously assigned to player David Carney.
In light of the club’s decision, there will be no arbitration hearing between the club and Carney, as was scheduled to be held tomorrow (Friday 20 February) at Football Federation Australia’s (FFA’s) head office.
Over the past week there have been substantial operational and management changes at Newcastle Jets – changes the club believes will result in a new and positive direction for the Hunter’s Hyundai A-League franchise.
Newcastle Jets Chief Executive Officer Mitchell Murphy said: "It is the club’s desire to work proactively behind the scenes with David (Carney) and the PFA (Professional Footballers Australia) to resolve the situation in a timely manner."
"We achieved such an outcome earlier this week with Kew Jaliens, and the club is also committed to continuing the process with Joel Griffiths, Billy Celeski and Adrian Madaschi."
i wonder which one got removed?
From my understanding and to just make it clearer all A League sides must have a minimum squad of 20 and max 23 with 3 under 21 players included, they can then opt to sign 3 NYL players on minimum wages which is approx $49k bringing the max squad side to 26. Currently the NYL players are Lundy, Solari and recently Pavecevic. Cowburn and Crowely are not included in the figures at this stage and are not on full time NYL senior contracts. The other u21 players with out checking ages I think would be Cooper, Welsh, Barresi, and possibly the other Cooper.
Hey Bodi
Give the club a call and see if you can get the rest of the breach notices he should have put on. The club are dying to get rid of him and have finally realised they have shot themselves in the foot by jumping prematurely. They would love to know the other shit to finish the job I am sure
Trade Off for your help in boning Carney is the club is to restore Griff ASAP
Best deal for everyone
The Serbian signed yet?

So Mr 1 in 20 only contracted to the end of the current season? Is that right?
When Stubbins was originally appointed, it was until the end of the 15/16 season.

Maybe there is a chance that Tinkler has gotten him to sign a revised contract that sees Phil paid more but with next year not locked in (would not surprise me in the least), or maybe there are KPIs in Stubbins' contract that said if he didn't achieve a certain league position that it only lasted one year. I'm not sure on that, but he was definitely (unfortunately) signed for 2 seasons.Quote:
The Newcastle Jets have appointed Phil Stubbins as the Club's new Head Coach on a two-year contract running to the conclusion of the 2015/16 Hyundai A-League season.
I legit can't wait till Stubbins leaves our club. No other HAL club will ever touch him, so he'll just head straight back to Thailand or something like that. Probably pick up more brown shoes on the cheap when he's there.
One supporter here who doesn't want any more wins this season at all.Quote:
“We simply want to do the best we can until the conclusion of the campaign. It would be great for the group and our younger players to secure some wins between now and the end of the season but more importantly for our supporters.”
Winning two games next year will make us a stronger force FFSQuote:
“There has been a lot learnt that’s for sure but I totally believe that we’ll be a much stronger force next year.
Madaschi and Celeski terminations executed
Carney and Zane left
So according to murphy lee ki-je and alivodic priorities to re-sign which I agree with but I just wonder about montano. I known he has missed a few chances here and there but has generally been devoid of quality service. He has looked great at holding the ball up all season but early on held onto it too much or went his own but I think he has remedied that and laid it off more.
I'd like to see him re-signed but with extra competition up front, whether that be another visa or an Australian striker.
Second season, with his English improved and a decent midfield behind him I think he needs to be re-signed.
My thoughts for the day.
I'd love Montano re-signed, but can't see it happening. I assume his home club would want him back, and I daresay he'd be feeling homesick particularly because we've gotten rid of our fellow Spanish speakers. He doesn't have a whole lot keeping him here, it seems to me. Most visa players in the HAL are on somewhere between 200-300k, and I have had hamma-confirmation that Edson's wage falls in that bracket, so maybe that's more than he can get back home? Either way I feel like all our visa players are too good for us tbh :rof:
