Would have suited how we play with minimal adjustments. Capable of playing central, wide or even as an CAM.
Smart business for you guys.

Unless we have Havertz, Sancho or a fully recovered Sane in mind I can’t see how letting Werner pass is smart. Especially considering his clause was what 52M. Looking at double that for any of the others.

I told Bon today that you guys have dodged a bullet with Werner. He is not the sort of player that would fit in with your system, and thats a lot of money to spend on a plan B. Ask a German football fan how good Werner is and you'll get a better idea of his strengths and weaknesses.

Not saying that he isn't a terrific player, cause he is, but he only does well in certain systems. Watch him play for Germany when you get a chance and you'll see how he plays when the team isn't built around him.

Havertz is the perfect Firmino backup/replacement. Much smarter buy for you guys IMO.

I'd be happy to come up against that front 3. Those 2 up top could be strong, but you wouldn't have Jorginho in midfield and would lose any control over the game.

Gilmour will be our midfield anchor with Mount and Kovacic tearing you apart with Ziyech at CAM. He'll even Pulisic could play CAM and RLC could play in midfield

If be more than happy to come up against that midfield. Even Xhaka wouldn't be troubled by those 3.

I mean, personally I'd want my teams best player on the pitch that little french bloke named Kante, but each to their own.

Kante can't stay fit atm. Until he proves he can he isn't in our best midfield. And Kovacic is close to the best CM in the prem this season. Also Xhaka hahaha. No wonder your not in a champions league place

Yeah, so if Xhaka can deal with that midfield trio they must be terrible.

Also, Kovacic isn't even the best midfielder in your squad let alone anywhere near the top 10 midfielders in the league. Jeez.

Poor guy. Made his dream move very public. Ended up at Chelsea.
Like growing up to dream of Formula 1, and driving the school bus instead.

In all honesty. I wish we signed him, and I’m hoping we have another signing up our sleeve.
Hope all these big names can play together.

I was going to comment that I don't love the new kit personally. It's very very blue and that 3 logo is huge.

But that loss was beautiful to watch. Hammers well deserved 3 points and they do the double over you even if they are in a relegation dog fight. Chelsea are the 4th best club in London it seems.

Cracking game with some great goals.
Was very nervous at 4-3.

Does pulisic have that energy over 90 minutes? Looked very dangerous against tired legs.
Didn’t realise Kepas stats were so bad. 70-80M wasn’t it? Probably a bigger priority fixing that than getting in havertz.

I don’t watch much Chelsea. Just wondering if he’s like that for 90 minutes, or was his impact exacerbated by being fresh against tired legs.

Left the game just before HT at 3-0 to have breakfast, hang washing and get kids ready for school/daycare etc and then it was 4-3!!! WTF!? Nervous indeed.

I actually thought 3-0 flattered Liverpool at that point too.

I'm 100% in the Liverpool dive camp. But Kovacic went through him to get the ball. That's a free kick all day. He came from behind, got a bit of ball and a bit of player. Poor from him to get beaten and compound it there. Should have fouled him straight up when they were too far from goal to shoot.
