I heard the self-proclaimed “King of Islington Park” returned to Olympic last weekend and scored a perfect hatty in the process. Won’t be long before he is put into First Grade and missing thousands of easy chances again

Common sense would suggest the powers that be are allowing fixtures to be rescheduled out of order due to the growing back log of catch up games. Alleluia.

Res & 3rd Grades were scheduled for Tuesday postponed to Thursday due to weather
1st Grade Wednesday Night

No player that starts Wednesday (1st Grade) can play Thursday (Res & 3rd Grade)

Dudley 4-0 over Olympic in 1st grade. Olympic weren?t bad and will be top 4 but Dudley were a different level tonight

You are kidding right? There are actually grounds in the comp called out today? Embarrassing for the clubs associated with these venues.

I would be thinking it should be more embarrassing for Newcastle Council, they own the grounds, they manage the grounds, they are ultimately responsible as to whether grounds end up with drainage or not.

The reason Islington was out this weekend was because NCC in there wisdom decided to cut the grass on Friday morning this left massive tyre maks thru the waterlogged cricket pitch and both goal mouths. Zone league players were there most of the morning to repair the damage for mid week games, which will most likely be moved due to the damage.
