Scott miller presser followed by Jeterpool interviewing Brett Wilson from Beechwood Homes
My take on the first half vs WSW the whole team stood around and watched WSW pass around with ease no effort to put pressure on them
Regarding the opening question, would anyone pick a different team?
Birraz in goals of course. id have at CDM as a deep lying playmaker/recycle possesion role Stevie urgarkovic, his energy and movment would be crucial. Then i would have two roaming playmakers who can dribble which would be castaleen and broich and upfront id pick Adam taggart seeing as he's signed for perth and his pace and first touch shooting would be handy
Great little episode of the Jetstream Extra now available
First up is the post match press conference with Scott Miller
Then Jeterpool has a great little interview with Jets Powerchair Football captain Dimitri Liolio-Davis
Ep56 will be available from 8am
We started to discuss ideas to improve the podcast, one improvement we are considering is that the main podcast is too long.
We are instead looking at 2 separate smaller podcasts. A 45 minute match review podcast - to be available tuesday, and a 30 minute match preview podcast - to be available friday.
The Jetstream Extra material (presser/postgame fan interviews) would be included in the review podcast, and the preview podcast would include an interview with an opposition supporter, club news and listener correspondence.
Thoughts?
I'll add to what Furns has said that this year we have started to review the Youth team, establish ties with the W-League team and also interviewed the PowerChair team.
People from within these teams are willing to give us their time to update results as well.
Are listeners interested in any of these? Because if you are, we'll put in the work to strengthen those ties.
ep57 is now available via the home page
Thanks to Bodes for stepping into the hosting shoes while Jeterpool and myself were away
Recording the podcast tonight. Does anyone have any questions they would like to put to the group?
What day and time will the podcast be up?? This junkie needs his jetstream fix:rof:
We recorded last night mate. Me, Emma and Furns. Furns was aiming to get it uploaded today.
It'll be the last one for a few weeks before the end of season review podcast (live pod).
Unfortunately I wasn't able to upload it for this morning - podcast will be available tomorrow morning
Podcast now available as promised

After a shite week at work and no time do to (a lot) of editing, the season review episode will be available at 8am.
Enjoy.
Pls bear in mind all the times Tobedawg interrupts, I had to delete four times as many other interruptions.
Alright, so what are your responses on the questions asked on the pod -
Who over-achieved for the Jets this season?
Who under achieved this year for the Jets?
Who was your player of the season?
Thoughts and assessment on Scott Miller's performance?
Best moment of the season?
Best game of the season?
And Bon - I hope you passed my message on to your mate

Would you like more player/sponsor/fan interviews?
What is the ideal length of the pod (we aim for ~1hr episodes)?
Are you interested in joining in? If so - PM Furns, BodyNovo or me.
Who over-achieved for the Jets this season?
Nick Cowburn. And I expect/hope his achievements to get bigger each year.
Who under achieved this year for the Jets?
Mitch Cooper. He was the shining light of the back end of last season and was barely a presence this year.
Who was your player of the season?
Mateo Poljak.
Thoughts and assessment on Scott Miller's performance?
Learnt to tie the double-windsor to perfection.
Best moment of the season?
The first Gosford away.
Best game of the season?
The first Gosford away.
What do you like about the pod?
The Simpsons jokes.
What would you change?
Needs more dog.
Were you previously a listener and stopped? Why did you stop?
Yes. It got less interesting without me.
Would you like more player/sponsor/fan interviews?
Player - yes. Sponsor - meh. Fan - maybe.
What is the ideal length of the pod (we aim for ~1hr episodes)?
The longer the better.
Are you interested in joining in? If so - PM Furns, BodyNovo or me.
If Ljubo comes on too.
Recorded the first of the post-season. An interview with Ryan Griffiths. Hope you enjoy. He shares some pretty interesting insights into his time here.
Saw these questions late woops
Who over-achieved for the Jets this season?
Hoffman Wasn't happy with his signing at the time. Boy did he prove me and dear i say everyone wrong. Super consistent and great defending most weeks
Who under achieved this year for the Jets?
Enver 100% was total garbage whats the point of running your arse off all game if it leads to nothing in terms of goals and assists
Who was your player of the season?
Only one answer Birraz. Without him were wooden spooners no question.
Thoughts and assessment on Scott Miller's performance?
ill give him a C grade. some poor recruitment and tactics early on. Then took too long to make changes when plan A didnt work but recruited well from January onwards and the team started to play really well and last half of the season was a pleasure to watch
Best moment of the season?
Gosford 1-0 and the crowd and players reactions
Best game of the season?
Home game 3-2 vs Wellington Super Nordy Nordstrand to the rescue
What do you like about the pod?
Listening to different points of view regarding all things jets as well as the awesome banter and stats provided every week
What would you change?
Less Liverpool references?? :rof:
Were you previously a listener and stopped? Why did you stop?
haven't stopped since i discovered it start of last season
Would you like more player/sponsor/fan interviews?
Player and Sponsor interviews would be fantastic more often if possible. Fan interviews are fine the way they are.
What is the ideal length of the pod (we aim for ~1hr episodes)?
My ideal length would be as long as it takes to talk about everything Jets for that week. If that takes more than 1 hr no problem for me (gives me something to listen to at work for longer)
Who over-achieved for the Jets this season?
Nick Cowburn, unquestionably. Signed to a NYL contract and not meant to see any game time yet played his way into the starting team
Who under achieved this year for the Jets?
Milos Trifunovic - Miller talked him up as possibly the signing of the season in the A-League. Played ok but definitely under achieved.
Who was your player of the season?
Birraz was outstanding with Hoffman a close second
Thoughts and assessment on Scott Miller's performance?
If you consider that there was no club, facilities or team and they started completely from scratch, I would give Miller top marks. By rights we should have collected another wooden spoon but Miller brought belief to the team and got them playing for each other. Too many people question his reluctance to change the formation rather than looking at the inflexible squad he inherited.
Best moment of the season?
Nordstrand's goal v Wellington. Having followed the Jets since inception the number of hands down cracking goals has been few and far between. This one was special.
Best game of the season?
Really surprised no one mentions this game, but the 3-2 win over Melbourne City in Melbourne was my highlight. 2-0 down with 30 to go, Kanta gets pushed into the No 10 and plays the game of his life. 3 goal turn around, first time coming back from 2-0 down I believe, and a Trfiunovic winner at the death.
What do you like about the pod?
That you analyse the game and give solid evidence based opinion. Its interesting and their is a vacuum of that on this forum generally
What would you change?
I like the format style approach. Where you stick to a set agenda each podcast. Include sections like Game Analysis, Recruitment News, off field News, up coming game etc. When you go off script it can be a little rambling. In jokes don't translate well for the listener and, dare I ever say it for being branded as the fun police, pods on the cans don't go well. Don't review the performance of every single player, just the standouts.
Basically I think you have made a great grasp of a semi serious podcast with good analysis. Keep the serious angle to it and you will continue to be respected for it.
Were you previously a listener and stopped? Why did you stop?
Took up listening half way through the year and enjoy it ever since.
Would you like more player/sponsor/fan interviews?
Definitely. They were really interesting.
What is the ideal length of the pod (we aim for ~1hr episodes)?
I like the hour pod, but if only you have the content thats interesting. I wouldn't be afraid to edit down to 30-60mins to keep the product interesting
Are you interested in joining in? If so - PM Furns, BodyNovo or me.
Maybe have a rolling forum member each week.
I really appreciate your feedback, Borat.
As Furns mentioned on the end of season Pod, the format is going to change next year with a Monday recorded/Tuesday release "Review & fan interview" pod and Thursday recorded/Friday release Preview (including an opposition fan where possible)& news pod. We will be splitting the team up a bit as well so that we can have fewer (~3) and we don't have to get tied up.
Seriously, anyone who wants to get involved just needs a PC and a microphone. Those recorded over Skype you just need your mobile...it's not expensive to participate - just your time. So please, anyone come forward.
In the first of our offseason episodes, Jeterpool's interview with RyGriff is now available for download. Had some interesting things to say, especially regarding that age old bugbear we have with the club failing to retain players and not treating players properly.
Great listen.
