Shittier than this bloke ?
So Q, is it a 2 horse race or do Nibali and Valverde have a shot?
Also, who do you think has the better team Froome or Contador?
anyone has a shot, porte's a great lieutenant but contador is a much better rider than froome imo. froome is a beast, no doubt, but contador is savvy as they come
nibali can't be counted out, is a better TT rider than valverde...but that is out the window as valverde just won the spanish TT championship, lol.
saxo probably stronger than sky for mine, mick rogers and contador together, plus roche and majka just shades sky
I'll tip Nibali. Bloke has mad bike handling skills.
Cobbles!!!!!!
Froome looks like Rocky Balboa half way through his fight with Drago.
........and now he looks like Apollo Creed at the end of his fight with Drago
"THROW THE DAMN TOWEL"
nibali looked pretty comfortable, has always been a great descender, solid performance today on some honkin' roads
froome nothing to complain about, stacked it on the tarmac lol. the cobbles are a great addition, takes more than just pure vo2 max to win, you have to be able to ride as well
dunster on the hot tip if he can hold off contador's attacks in the mountains, that is if contador can make up the time gap
pete sagan in a good position too
froome out of the world cup
kenya didn't make it
Carnage.
Contador.
Is Porte now any chance at all Q-man?
who knows lol
terrain coming up suits porte but nibali looked pretty farken good last night, and looks in devastatingly good form
I'd be putting my money on Nibali at this point. He is looking really good, and the team seems very strong, but with so many big names out and with such a hilly tour, I can see attacks coming from all over the place and succeeding with big time gaps.
I don't think Porte will win this tour, but a podium will elevate is profile with other teams and do his career no harm at all. Its his chance to really make a name of himself and he seems to be grabbing it.
What's Nibali like in the time trials?
I don't think the time trial will decide this tour. It will be done and dusted one way or another in the mountains.
The tour proper starts tonight with the first of the alpine stages. I'm hoping Nibali sorts out Porte now rather than waiting for the Pyrenees .
Porte might be Australian and all but he's also a former triathlete so he gets no love from me.

Power bracelets, inability to ride in a group... and the list goes on.
One for the local mountain bike riders.
I've just taken the first steps to forming the Glenrock Trail Alliance as an affiliated club with MTBA. the incorporation forms were lodged today. I'm told this could take up to 6 weeks to process, then we can affiliate with MTBA.
This should lead to giving people more input into the trail works we do, as well as beefing up the social side of the Glenrock riding scene.
There is more info at our;

If you ride Glenrock, feel free to get involved.
The volunteers do a wonderful job in maintaining and building the trails but unfortunately the number of dickheads that ride Glenrock when the trails are wet has made it almost impossible for the volunteers to stay on top of things.
As such I haven't ridden Glenrock on a regular basis for 18 months or so.
Hence, Locking people out when the trails are wet would be about the only thing I would suggest.
If the affiliation into the MTBA can help keep Glenrock viable then it will be a good move.
We have been talking a lot with NPWS about wet weather riding. We are in the process of putting in trail closure signage at the major entry points. From there it is trying to instil a culture change on riders that riding in the wet isn't cool. This weekend will see the trails get smashed, its wet but the sun will be out.
It is hard when you put heaps of time into trail work, only to have a wet weekend with a full carpark of riders. I think if we can get people involved in the club, a change in the wet weather riding may slowly happen.

Finally decided to dust off the old bike and get back into riding.
Need to purchase some shorts and shirts, any online recommendations people have used before?
Am also tossing up keeping my old school bike computer, or buying a new setup that links up with my phone. Has anyone used their phone as the cycling computer?
Stupid question, but road or mtb?
Mtb but it's primarily going to be used on cycleways
I use mapmyride on my phone...... I just need to get a stronger attachment so its more secure than being in my pocket, I want to get a "quadlock" but cnat seem to save the coin for it.
As far as cycling computers go, I use a Garmin as my computer and everything gets downloaded to Strava and Garmin Connect. On the mtb everything is tracked off the GPS on the garmin, on the roadie I have speed and cadence sensors thrown in. I don't use the heart rate monitor, I can feel when I am about to explode.
In terms of clothes, it really depends what you want to spend and what quality you want. On the mtb I wear mtb shorts with knicks or bibs under them. A lot of my stuff is handmade in sydney by these guys http://www.eleven.cc Its not cheap shit you get off a dodgy website, but you really do get what you pay for. I have a few pairs of knicks that have been going for ever, still look and feel new.
My tip though, don't skimp on the bibs/knicks. You will pay....if you don't pay.
Levis 511, Vans, and a t-shirt.
Paris Roubaix is on again Sunday 12/4/2015.
Kristoff and Vanmarcke are the most fancied in the betting.
A lot of talk about Wiggins but I'd be shocked if he could hold it together on the cobble stones against the specialists
http://www.letour.com/indexPRX_us.html
if it stays dry wiggo can just put the hammer down, he can out TT any bloke in the peleton on his day and if he stays with the front group on the run to roubaix after the last sector he would be very hard to beat as there's not many that can go with him
kristoff will be marked super hard but he is a massive talent and in top form
if it's wet i'd have a good look at lars boom at $19.00
pozzato at 51.00 is a decent punt
I'd like to see them tested by some rain. It sorted the men from the boys at the TDF.
what a cracker stage that was, how good was nibali as well, didn't look out of place at all
Chris Froome on the other hand has very limited bike handling skills and that day he was completely found out. Boring as bat shit to watch until he crashed.
Riders like Nibali and Cancellara are the ones I'd like to be able to ride like.
I actually really hope wiggo is up there tbh, his pressers have been great and if he is up there at the pointy end it will make for great theatre as he is a beast when let loose.
No rain forecast on Sunday so will be a drag race for the big boys
richie porte leading sky after winning volta a catalunya, paris-nice and trentino this year and paying 21
worth a punt there for sure
how good was rohan dennis
