just because sydney fc have mostly used him as even a DM doesn't mean that he didn't line up for us on the left more often than not. he spent most of his limited game-time with us as a wide midfielder/forward or an attacking mid when given the luxury. wide may not be his best position, but he was used a heap of times in wide positions for us

Abbas was a winger before we signed him as far as I remember as well.

I know we're looking for an experienced CB, with this addition we'll have 4 CB on our books

If we get a CB, LW, Second Striker/AM. That brings the our squad to 23. No idea how other teams always release players under contract and we cant.

Didn't Hoole sign a senior contract late last year?

It's all a little confusing. I've seen reports that say Ox, Chapman & Duncan were our three apprentices this season, but then I've seen them say Cooper was an apprentice also.

Yeah he did, but I think each team are given 3 players under a certain age where they dont count towards the 23.

If he somehow is counted that only leave 1 CB and 1 other player we can sign!

Bloke looks still well unfit. He has been getting 30 mins the last 2 NBN games with the game in the bag. Bloke barely needs to run when he comes on.

I would be surprised if this bloke makes it. At the rate he is moving he would struggle to be fit for the next HAL season after the coming one

In one of the online forums feat. Robbie Middleby he confirmed that Kanta was our "homegrown junior marquee". Pretty sure Antonis was Sydney's too. Not sure who else used them.

how old is Kanta now? needs to have a good season this year, otherwise i'm not sure if he'll be around for the next season. saying that, i have no idea how long his contract is for.

Needed to have a good season last year, like Brown.

Complicated means that the Jets reckon they have him signed under a loan deal.


"Complicated" will be the excuse used to describe the loan deal when in 3 months time Burns still isn't in Newy and has signed for someone else in the meantime

Michael Bridges was key in utilising his overseas connections in securing the signing of Heskey back to his former club, Leeds United, for an "undisclosed" fee (read: nothing, we want him off the books).

We didn't want to stand in Emile's way. He has a young family and at this point in his career, all parties agreed that it was best that we ****ed him off because he did way too much to increase our average squad age.
