Big ups to Dudley in ressies for going a man down in the 1st half then fighting to score two goals in the 2nd half(not necessarily for how the red came to be,but still made for great viewing,2 goals to Dudley & 1 goal for Uni within the last 10-15mins).

We have had some fantastic development of younger players that have come through the ranks to play first grade, plus a core of 4-5 that were there last year. We had some players come back to us (having left to play at a higher level) and a couple of good players that came out of the blue (and into the royal blue).
The success for first grade this year has come about from a combination of adding a bit of quality to first grade, plus a really good feeling about the club that has been instilled by the coach and some greater depth in the lower grades that's come about by development of younger players.

Every one talks about all the good players in this comp, I've seen a couple of games but no one really stood out to me.
Not saying there is not some great players in this comp.
Just putting it out there, to the people in this comp, if you had to pick ya best 14 players in the comp.
What would it be? Who would make a select team from zpl?

My keeper would be the young fella from Mayfield. Wach time i have watched mayfield play he was outstanding.
Tannock is obviously quality.
Tye Jones from Barnlsey when he can manage to get through a game without getting sent off
Steve from cardiff only played the back end of the season from what i heard? i never actually saw cardiff play towards the end, but i know he is quality.
Mayfield and New Lambton would have a few i would chuck in but i dont really know their names.

D West, CM from dudley (birdy?), GK from Uni, striker from uni (the one who scored in last yrs GF). Kano from Eagles. Gouley from Mayfield to organise everyone.
Number 9 for Wallsend would have to be the best player in the comp IMO. la I think they call him. Every game I've seen with wallsend involved he has been the best on the park. He also scored 4 against Barnsley. I'd have the two centre mids from new Lambton, probably Dougy West in there somewhere but there are plenty of good players in this comp. Would be a strong team!

You guys have struggled to keep a clean sheet all year though? Depends if you are picking players on this years form or reputations. That Tannock from kahibah has barely played. Have heard he is a handful on his day
Leavin N Bevan out from our first grade? Top goal scorer in the comp, missed probably 3 games and was playing injured probably another 3/4... Still top and doesn't get a mention?

Good point. But we still have the second best D in the league. You'd probably throw one of them out wide.
Fern from Swansea is probably one of the best IMO too.
