Griffiths has no doubts that Bridge would provide a “lift” approaching the finals.
“Looking at the squad, Bridgey would be a perfect asset to bring in,” said Griffiths, who played alongside the striker for two seasons. “He has the experience – he has won grand finals, won Asian championships, played overseas – and is a big-game player. There is no point signing someone if they are not going to improve the squad. I have played alongside Bridgey. He takes a lot of pressure off other players. That is the beauty of a good player.”
