To play NYL you have to have an NYL or HAL contract and standard NYL contracts are amateur contracts, hence why we can raid the Roar. This seems to be a loop hole that allows us to sign up more than 3 NYL players to min wage deals.

i agree that it isn't a wise choice given his age and he ain't one of the fittest 31yr olds going around. Not to mention the cap space that this would take up!!
this cash would be wiser used on many other options possibly european.

Every piece of player signing information Lawrie gives out is about building the squad better than it is now, and building for the future. Signing Bridges for the end of the season only fills one of these criteria. Either he is lying, or he thinks Bridges can get us into the finals and that's our only aim for this year..
