14s Tuesday 12th Sept. Arrive 5pm for registration for 5.30pm start. (National Park No4 - Nthn end)
15s Wednesday 13th at 6pm for registration for 6.30pm start. (Newcastle Athletics Field)
17s Thursday 14th at 6pm for registration for 6.30pm start. (Newcastle Athletics Field)

Further trials maybe required during the next week. Players will be advised at their relative trial.

Kotara South Football Club are looking for interested players or coaches who wish to join a great club with a fantastic culture off the pitch, and genuine ambition on it.

In our debut season in Zone Premier League, our Reserve Grade side made the semi finals, while our 3rd & 1st Grade teams were unlucky to miss out on the final day with results going against us.

Garden Suburb FC are seeking expressions of interest for the role of Technical Director for Junior Girls Development.

This is an exciting opportunity for interested coaches to be involved in the construction of an elite girls junior development program.

Garden Suburb FC have a rapidly growing female player base and for season 2018 the club is seeking to implement a Junior Girls Development Program based on the Skills Training and Game Phases of Development. the Technical Director will oversee the development and growth of this program and coordinate program coaches.

New Lambton FC (Zl2) will be having a kick/bbq early late November/December but if anyone is interested in trialling they can message me and we can chat.

Warners Bay ZPL are having a social kick and get together starting next Wednesday (15th) at John Street Oval and then every Wednesday afterwards for the next 4 weeks leading up to Christmas.

Any players that are interested feel free to come down. Pre-season proper will commence early Jan.

Further to my earlier post, Kotara South ZPL will be getting together for a kick before Christmas, starting Wednesday December 6th @ Kotara Park (Park Ave, Kotara), 6pm kickoff. This will occur for 3 weeks, then we will break for Christmas/New Years etc.
Preseason will then start Tuesday January 9th, every Tuesday & Thursday.

We encourage all players who wish to play for the Tigers next season to come along next month and meet the squad and coaches. Please message here or 0421667431 if you have any questions.

Dudley Redhead United Football Club Zone League 3 are have a kick next Thursday December 14 at Liles Oval, Redhead from 6.15.
New players welcome as there will be room to add players to last years squad.

New Lambton FC Zone League 2 are currently looking for trial games for 2018 Pre season. We are sadly without a ground pre season due to cricket and Athletics so if anyone wanted to host us for trials please feel free to get in touch (and thanks in advance to anyone that responds).

Has anyone seen the Letter to the Editor in yesterday’s Herald regarding Council costs associated with football grounds?
Not sure what club it is about - but any other clubs struggling under this burden?
Every year, football is tainted as an expensive (when actually tame compared to dancing, musical instruments etc), and finally a major cost component is exposed!

Yes, I'm at a Newcastle club and Newcastle council charge a shit load to clubs

$20,000 seems about right for a decent sized club that will be using 2-3 fields for training during the week and at least one field on a Saturday.

The club should do what we do and when they give us the bill question every aspect and only pay for the times we use. The council will try and charge for every hour one time they were charging us to use it up to 9pm on Sundays.

Newcastle Council also do f uc k all in fixing issues, upgrading the grounds and barely maintain them.

Maybe the council can explain what clubs get in return for $20,000. All I see is volunteers doing everything while council mows once a week on a tractor. These are grounds for community use.
