Serious question.....
I may be missing something, but what has Pogba actually done to need to be put in his place?
I get that he is a flash git, but were people expecting a bunch of goals or something from him because of the price tag? He has never scored a whole bunch and has been a cog in a wheel (and excellent cog, but not a standout Ronaldo/Messi type) so I'm a bit confused.
is is just that he hasn't dominated as expected for the price tag or is there more to this situation that I don't see?
Is that the crux of it?
I read the quote as 'We are Man Utd, we want to be dominant at home and we didn't play fluently in attack'.
But when you have a defensive manager that dislikes you, its probably easier to be boring yourself and say nothing. Unless of course he wants out. Which he does, and anyone would in his position.
The thing with Man U that defies belief with Mourinhio is that he has now had 5 transfer windows there so if his players are not up to scratch why has he not replaced them??
Shaw Smalling Jones Fellaini etc if they aint good enough why does he persist in playing them and why hasnt he shipped them out of the club if he deems them notgood enough ??
Plenty of money there in potential incoming transfer fees to bring in new players
Then you throw in the likes of Pogba Bailly Lindelof etc whom he has signed and doesnt seem to be getting the best out of
Mo though isnt an idiot and his public comments aint some clueless clown mouthing off but calculated psychology
Exactly though what the **** is going on is hard to tell
Whatever is going on players aint reaching potential / consistency and both players and manager are responsible
2 reasons why this is all happening.
1. United don't need to win trophies anymore. All they need to do to make money is to sign big name players. Sanchez transfer from Arsenal was tweeted about more than the Neymar to PSG transfer. They have sold enough sanchez shirts to cover his stupid wages. United are a business, just like people say Arsenal is a business rather than a club who competes for trophies, they just do it better than us.
Pogba doesn't have to perform, he just needs to make them money. If everyone keeps talking about him leaving then Man United are getting free promotion. If Barca do actually want him, it will be such common knowledge that United can earn a decent fee for him and just have to replace him with someone else. Sell Pogba for 100 mil, buy Alli for 120 mil, United win. They would sell 20 million in shirts on the 1st day. The circus will continue and it won't matter if they win the title as long as they keep buying their own galacticos. (which in the EPL is a young player with potential to succeed mixed with a huge transfer fee to weigh them down. -Shaw, Zaha, Martial, De Bruyne @ chelsea, Lukaku both times, etc)
2. Mourinho wants his payout at some point this year. He had already won the EPL with Chelsea so all he had to do was keep them in the hunt and talked about as the biggest club in England. He tows that line very well, but now he wants his pay out so he can go to France or Italy and have a crack at winning the title there to add to his CV. If he wants to force his way out, pick a fight with the most popular player at the club (in the media's view) and watch the shitshow unravel.
I actually think he is 100% spot on with the way he is to Pogba
The bloke is a ****ing enigma and doesnt deliver performances with the regularity he should
For all the money that Man U have paid him the bloke is letting his club down the most with his efforts
Looking more like a case of Mo or Pogba and Man U isnt big enough for both
I would suggest Pogba is the one who has to go if anything
Pogba has been told he's the best midfielder in the world. He believed it and wants to go to Barca and thinks he will be able to walk around and win the league every year. He will be a cancer in the team until he either learns or goes.
Funnily enough, because they already lost him once they can't just sell him at the 1st sign of problems without looking even more stupid than the 1st time. So he holds all the aces with this one. He can do whatever he wants and the club will struggle to come out looking good no matter what.
If it was my team I would drop him to the bench everytime he argues and then make Pogba stir the pot in frustration until the fans want him sold.
It will be great seeing them finish 9th this year if this morning is anything to go off.
How good is the promotion for the Copa Libertadores Final??
Better than anything Vince McMahon could ever come up with
Argies are ****ing no 1 when it comes to football support
VAR strikes in Juve v Roma.
That Rangers Celtic match was brilliant.
Crowd was one of the most intense id ever watched on the telly.
Gerrard already a better manager than he was a player.
Can someone, I'm looking at you Premy, please confirm what the high court ruling regarding Blackpool FC means for fans/the Oystens?

Does this mean that they are gone completely, without payment/sale of the club?
I can' imagine a League 1 club having a spare 25 million lying around.
In the most simplistic laymens terms.
Belokon already owns 20% and wants Oyston shares to make himself the majority owner, this is just a power struggle at board level that has gone on for over 5 years now.
Belokon has agreed to waive the debt in turn for Oystons shares but the 2 parties are not in agreement of what Oystons shares are worth. Oyston values his shares at the price of the debt owed +£15m however Belokon values Oystons shares at the value of the debt.
Basically this now just clears the way for the receiver to sell Oystons shares in the Club to Belokon.
This Brendan Rodgers thing seems weird.
Why ditch Celtic now, still competing for several trophies, to see out a season at Lester where they will prob finish right where they were gonna finish anyway?
He was doing an ok at Celtic yeah, and it seemed the fans liked him.
the benefits he'll get out of being back in the Prem surely are offset by the damage done to his reputation in the long term.
and its not as if the job wouldnt have still been there at seasons end if Lester really wanted him.
people are weird man.
Celtic pretty much can't lose the SPL and can't do anything in Europe. Winning trophies in Scotland with Celtic doesn't add anything to your CV as a coach. He hasn't gained any respect since he's been there, hence the drop to a very good mid table side.
As soon as they got knocked out of Europe he was on the phone looking to leave.
It's a massive step up for a manager to go from Celtic to Leicester City
Lester mkt value is 335m
Celtic mkt Value is 91m
