I stand by my prediction a month ago that Liverpool will win the league, only if they beat both Man City and Chelsea.
Incorrect if Liverpool drop 3 points and City take all 12 points City will win on GD.
Disagree as I said they can't afford to drop points and everyone seems to be forgetting the fact they have been unbeaten since the turn of the new year (quite a incredible achievement from a side that was expected to not qualify for CL at the start of the season by most people). If they win it will be a great story of the poorer underdog wining against the odds. If they lose it will be the one that got away, far from choking.
Man City are paying 5.50 to win the title
if I had a betting account and/or knew how to put a bet on I think I'd throw a grand on them taking it out from here
chelks playing 6-3-1 in defence. there's the bus
Ohh Stevie G:roflz::blush::wtf:
Lol at all the butt hurt pool fans complaining about mourinhos tactics
He has done this for the hope that what just happened would (one slight slip up or chance)
You think they were parking the bus, watch the next half
Inter v barca all over again
Theworldgame ticker on this match is currently on 32 min @ 0-0
played the occasion rather than the opponent. gerrard lost it and tried too hard to force things that weren't there, looking for an olympiacos moment
fair play mourinho. knowing what he would do was easy but countering it something else. ref could have helped the football by booking earlier.
internetz nerdz will get a ton of mileage out of gerrard 'this does not ****ing slip - goes and slips'-type gifs and memes
Fu@k that hurts

Not a great result but I've been saying all along the title race isn't over. It still isn't. Liverpool have the points in the bag and Man City still have to win them.
In saying that, by the time Liverpool play on Tuesday morning next week, they could be in third if Chelsea and City win. That'll be interesting to see how they respond. It can be seen as pressure or as the under dogs.
Either way this is an exciting way to finish the season.
Fffffuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkkk !!!!
Rodgers spent 10 months getting Gerrard out of the way in attack and Jose sucked him back in to it in 90 mins. Once the players saw Gerrard trying to win it by himself they all wanted to be the hero.
Jose won this match. That's why he is the best.
The Glazers must have kittens every day knowing they could have had him.
Looked to me like Jose played "19th century football"....
He won.
Rodgers was having a bitch about it as well.
Weird thing is, why didn't LFC play for the point? That's all they needed, it was Chelsea who actually needed to win to have any chance yet Liverpool played directly into their hands.
LFC should have sat back from the start, try and draw Chelsea out and hit them on the break like they've done a lot this year. If Chelsea didn't want to try, then settle for the point and maintain control of your destiny.
Liverpool completely cocked it up.
Rodgers was out coached. Simple.
my ass is stretched
I haven't read back to confirm so someone please do if this isn't legit..
In this thread one person said gerrard is the long term cb option for pool.
Also someone made reference to a banana skin a week ago out so.
Too funny
"this does not ****ing slip now"
:rof: at all the pool fans I've seen on fb talking about chelsea playing anti football etc. Do they forget that for years under benitez, their most recent successful period, pool would lump the ball to crouch for a header back to gerrard almost every play? Do they forget how anti football, no nonsense carragher was?
how dumb is rodgers though, mo says he's going to park the bus and does it. who would bet against the great one on a day like this?
if he's dead serious about winning the trophy why didn't he play for the point himself? to fulfill some kind of mythical prophecy of playing the liverpool way? pragmatism wins titles these days, not reckless abandon.
one point is more useful than a big old donut.
he's just going along for the ride
how good is the get up, drawstring trackies and a vest, looks like one of the locals :rof:
up there with GVE's polo shirt and sport jacket combo he wore in perth once, looked like he'd spent the night before in the bin
I've said for ages that Gerrard eventually should be CB, he is doing half that job this year with great success. He was great vs City but last night fell into the trap of thinking he was a number #10 again. He took over everything and pushed Coutinho out of the game.
I don't think his slip was what cost them the game. More so it was Rodgers tactics, and Gerrards 2nd half.
As for the banana slip, I think it was Jeterpool
(Has anyone checked if he's ok?)
