I have a category 2 ticket that I'm selling due to winning a double pass to both the semi and the 3rd place playoff. Bought for 80 odd but will settle for a bit less
Good onya Buddha. A lot of people would seek to cash in on the increased popularity
Can't believe AFC / FFA / LOC advertised Newy stadium as a 33000 stadium only to find out few days after comp starts that it's actually 22000 in Asian Cup configuration and did nothing about grass area!!!!! That we loose 3000 seats to Media.....etc OK but 11000 seats / admissions it's unheard of. Not only there was a good chance that Australia would finish second in their group and can now only play in front of 22000, but imagine if China win the quarter and play here their semi in front of 22000!!! As I said in an earlier post if only 5% of China watch the game it equates to ~ 65000000 yes ~ 65M Chinese watching. It was reported that their game V Saudi Arabia was watched by 160000000 yes 160M (~7 times the population of Australia)!!! And if they play Japan then probably another ~20000000 could be watching. So possible 200 M to 250M all over Asia watching the game played at Newy Stadium........And here is Newy stadium with grass area half empty behind goal posts ...!!! Amateurs really......embarrassing......
Just Shows what a joke the NSW Government is by not getting their fingers out of their arse to finish the stadium properly or at least **** the hills off with semi permanent seating like they did at Wankerland as a stop gap measure until they do actually finish it properly
Nice touch but after dealing with the ethics of ticket swapping/sale for the WC mate you are more than entitled to get cost back.
That is the ethically fair position on the subject and you don't have to undersell it to part ways with it.
I think you will find if it is Australia V Japan you will have no issues getting cost anyway which you are more than entitled to
carn iran!
If they can add temp seats to give a 25000 capacity and make the ground actually look full then that will be good enough. If they leave it as is, people will sit on the hills anyway and there will be huge gaps at a "sellout".
there is several thousand kept aside for AFC exco members and sponsors. also a fair chunk of seats for media. so a sell out still looks pretty empty when all of them don't turn up. i don't think i've seen more than 100 AFC people in the stand at canberra at any match.
Sponsors and the AFC head honchos on the junket I would have thought would have been out in force for what was a blue chip match.
There were also plenty available in the corners and in the stand the Main TV Camera was located on.
Now assuming a few got legitimate reasons ie they died or missed flight to Brisbane or something else for no showing the amount of empty seats would indicate they called it as sold out early when it were not really sold out
Anyone know why the "restricted" seats are restricted view? I bought my tickets months ago and am in Bay 41 row A for 3 v 4, and Bay 41 row C for the semi. Some **** from ticketek rang me the other day and said the seats for 3 v 4 are restricted view so they moved me to bay 60 but mentioned nothing of the semi. Is it cause of those stupid ****ing advertising fences that sit a few metres inside the normal fence?
I did for Japan v Palestine, it wasn't too bad, we were just behind active support. Bought those tickets the night before the game though
How was that mazey run by Omar in the first half, that kid has so much skill. He really looks like he is going to be some player with a bit of experience. Some euro clubs are surely going to be throwing money at him.
Did for the first half of Japan v Palestine. As it looked a turkey shoot moved to the northern hill the second half to get close to the action
At Suncorp the other night I was on the 40m area/centre circle(end Korea Scored) 5 rows back on the upper deck so had pretty great seats so need to move
Dam, would have liked Iran to fall into the quarter final against Japan. One of the biggest would go before semifinal time.
UAE the jets of the Asian cup. 60% possession, 500 completed passes to about 200 for Iran and yet still less balls into the area and less shots at goal hahaha

Looking at temporary seating behind goal posts.....thank god for that!!!!
Omar juygfterdrfbhjknjkk;llkjhgfhjkb goes well for UAE
Ah, remember those heady days of 2010 when we thought we actually had a shot at getting the World Cup?
Money was going to flow in and major upgrades would happen.
There was even talk of replacing the ATCO sheds.
Good times ... good times.

Newcastles semi final has officially sold all of the currently available tickets. One would think even if the socceroos lose to China, it would still seem beneficial to set up temporary seating considering the number of Chinese nationals that showed up in Canberra from sydney.
No ****ing way on the world should it. Play the Politics game. Let ****s blow up at our stadium so small and shit
Some **** in power goes **** we should give more Socceroo games to Newy in future as it is a sell out and some other **** goes we better spend some more money fixing this place up and completing the ground.
We have been dealt decent cards here don't throw them away and play them with power
