Pretty similar imo, that's the challenge I've had in mind the whole time.

Immediately thought of Mane situation.
I mean, if he actually gets to the ball and gets a flick on toward goal and Thomas arrives late and gets him, what happens?
I don’t know if they are allowed/supposed to talk about intent. Nobody can prove anything either way. They will say he meant to cause harm, we will say that he went for the ball and was so focussed etc.
How long was Smeltz suspended for?
I think 3-4 weeks.
Muscat can’t even comment on it surely. I rewatched his red card tackle where he makes contact above he knee and is horizontal. Grub.
I have a reasonably new found dislike towards Victory after this season. The thought of Troisi in a good shirt with his combover makes me sick.
Latest on Iniesta...

But this is interesting
We are one of the big 4 all of a sudden!Quote:
But it’s understood Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory, Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers are the clubs who will be in the market for recognised name players next season.
The CEOs of the four clubs are due to meet on Thursday to discuss their budgets and how the funds, provided by Fox Sports, will be used.
Wait, are they really saying that Iniesta is somewhat comparable to Del Piero and Heskey?
Oh my dear lord.
His suggested Chinese contract included wine deals.
Give him Pokolbin ffs,
Justin Dougherty our Physio has left the club. Big loss
I would also say that Iniesta really only has appeal to serious fans of the game.
70% of your EPL bandwagon boys who fap over your likes of Harry Kane Stevie G Mo Salahs Aguero etc would have NFI who he is
Dont forget these are the clowns FFA are trying to appeal to with your marquees
Bloke is the second greatest football on the planet bar Griff yet these clowns wouldnt know it
Yeah, I don't think our injury record was anything worth shouting about. BUT I don't know the ins and outs of his role so I don't want to criticise him. Either way, if Lee is willing to spend money, I don't imagine it's that difficult to replace a physio. Maybe we could just poach Sydney's?
I understand the Good Members and Stannys point.
But any player, be it Griff, Iniesta or Pato needs to be signed for their footballing ability only, and their ability to contribute to a winning team.
This season has shown that the crowds, and results will come with good football.
10 years ago bay 4 was screaming for Hoffs blood, now they adore him. Nothing changed other than results.

Had to look twice to see it was a trial game - all aboard the bandwagon.
They obviously didnt watch him miss two sitters at the weekend did they??
Lol
Marquees are a waste of money really if you going on name.
Give me Vargas over Heskey any day
FFA are killing the game in this country because they aint catering to football fans
The other week i watched a game in Thailand
No VAR
Full strength beer at $2 a cup
$5 entry
Sitting or standing on steel stands not a seat of plastic
Right on top of the pitch
It was a cracking night because it was real football in a shitty ground
Why cant i get this in this country??
Can shove their 30k all seaters and their big name marquees up their arse.
You support the shirt and the shit cunce in it
We dont need to sell the league to Bogan Straya with gimmicks because they dont care
We need to provide the league for football fans in Straya and stop worrying about what others think

Jets trying to keep Mcgree
https://www.theherald.com.au/story/5...season/?cs=305
we must be offloading some players then, with the signing of matt, as well as having kanta, brown and uga at full fitness keeping mcgree seems odd despite the quality he offered. Unless instead of using him as a midfielder like we did towards the end of the season he'll continue as a winger even though I don't think that's his best position
I haven't completely written off Cowburn yet, as he came into a side underperforming as a whole. But he didn't offer a lot while he was there. Potentially is an option as the bread and butter DM, but was outshone well and truly by Kanta and Uga (when he played that role alongside McGree) in that role from what we've seen so far.
Needs to show a bit more to be in the picture for a starting spot imo.
You're right - he needs to show more.
Perhaps he might think his best position is midfield, but his best football for us has been played at fullback. Hoffy was signed as a striker originally but to keep a position in the team had to transition to become a right back. Maybe that's the approach Nick will take next year.
Johnny K to take up Ugaboogas spot if he goes
Cowburn can put out the witches hats, pump balls up etc etc.
