Has any one else heard the rumour circulating that Northern are going to follow the Rugby League and cancel the season next week given no sign of situation changing in short term?
What happens if season canned. Surely they can't name a premier with still 2 rounds to go and 3 teams still able to win the competition.
Does the season become null and void
Surely it ain’t getting played.
Jaffas have been the best team after 16 games. Let them have it and an *.
Feel for Maitland, 1 point behind with a game vs Jaffas last round.
I think that’s the season.
Don't agree with a Premier being named especially if the top 2 teams still have to play each other in the last round
What did football NSW do?
If it’s a NPL directive and standard, then I don’t really have a problem with it.
Bit disappointing for Jaffas who are top, but also Maitland who had Magic and Jaffas to potentially win, and Edgeworth who had Magic and Adamstown to potentially win.
Wonder what the clubs would vote for? Null and void season or Lambton Jaffas**.
Is anyone aware of the scum***kery that has gone on at Edgie with amenities being vandalised?
Then details were confirmed by a parent of a 1st/Res gde player (who has a 'very strong' connection with our club)
New amenities building and canteen graffitied, then the same broken into again and trashed + alcohol stolen.
Then the sponsor's box was broken into with trophy cabinets the TV smashed + electrical infrastructure ripped out...
And LMCC won't allow them to have Security Cameras. Wtf??
Can anyone connected with Edgie comment further?
Is there something we can do as a football community to put pressure on councils to allow after-hours surveilance?
Not just for Edgeworth FC but for any club.
This kinda sh!t breaks my heart and makes my blood boil.
Why is CCTV not allowed?
Seems ridiculous.
Shame. Edgy have probably put the most effort, time and money into their facilities over the last decade or so. Feel for them.
Absolute grubs that will only learn from a good floggin when caught
very interested to know the cctv reasoning as someone who installs them there is absolutely no reason why they cannot be installed into common areas of the ground, i call bs from lmcc and i would love to see what regulation they are pulling this garbage from. The only time small issues arrise is where filming is conducted external to boundaries and general public area
Sessions, Griffiths, McNaughton, maj, and Jacob pepper?!?! All to cooks hill on ridiculously high wages.
Something about privacy I've been told. Would be interested to know if it is true and the real reason, it does sound like one of those things that has circulated by someone who didn't want it installed or was denied once by council so people give up.
LMCC does have a full policy about having it installed and will grant leasees approval if the reasons for installing it are worthwhile and part of a crime prevention strategy.
One thing it does say when making determination is "if the problem is on going or a one off event" It wouldn't surprise me that Edgeworth once asked years ago and was no granted approval because it only happened once. Also wouldn't surprise me if Edgeworth haven't asked because they were told by another group once that Council have told them you can't put up CCTV and so have just believed it.

Apparently a decision on the season will be made as early as Friday when lockdown dates are announced. Apparently a zoom meeting between the clubs and northern today or tomorrow to put everything in place before the announcement on Friday.
My guess would be season over
Yep understand that’s your view I’m sure Jaffas have a different view. As I’ve said previously the Zone Leagues etc award Premiers with their seasons cut short. I wouldn’t be surprised if same happens. Otherwise what’s the purpose of the whole season if they don’t nothing?
Nswnpl and vicnpl both had 6 plus games remaining. Maybe should look at table at half way point where everyone had played each other once. Still think Jaffas were on top by memory. I do not have any issues if comp cancelled and declared using current ladder. How it has ended is outside any bodies control.
Apparently the clubs said they needed at least a month once training resumes to be able to play. That means even if lockdown is only extended to the end of September, the season wouldn't be finishing till near Christmas so too late.
