WTF???? Well instead of saying how "off" Maitland were and how they were missing players, just say they were beaten by the better team on the day who also missed a lot of chances and also had two regular 1st graders not playing!

Well in swancho...what a great result...with all the hype surrounding adamstown and maitland I would love belswans to win it
who got sent for maitland?
Can't see it's possible, given Adamstown's run home for the remainder of the comp.
looks most likely to be
1 A-damstown
2,3 Maitland or Belswans (should be a great battle)
4,5 Trono or westy or thornton (Toss a coin)
then every body else.
Personally I'd love to see Belswans win it, though I doubt they'd want promotion??
The irony would be that that could save CCPhoenix
Magpies - A tough and hard breed.
Swans - A regal and "majestic" bird!
**** this thread was boring before "the bird man" joined in.
Redback_ dangerous creature which abodes toilet seats at night.
Stags - Either highly attractive male strippers or horny fury animal killed by Robert De Niro in Deer Hunter
Bluebells- potential deodorant (with no aluminium solphate) spreads wildy untill the council mows the pitch.
Hornet- black and yellow buzzing thing that annoys people trying to mow their lawns.
Strikers- people who refuse to work
Rosebuds- cheap beer-drinking woman (with no wisdom)
**** this thread is fun:)
Were you there at the game?? Well if you were you could clearly see that Maitland were the better team but didn't take their chances and had a ref who clearly had no clue what was going on and was on a power trip. Yea Belswans won but it was no indication of the game.
Continuing on :
19s-pretty one way for Maitland, Belswans didn't look like scoring. Maitland could have scored more just seemed a little off game today. Coach is doing pretty good with that side. Ref was another female, never seen before but did well for a cruisy game.
23's- both teams put in a good effort. Matland had most of the posession and played it around the park well. Belswans obviously frustrated at times but did well playing the ball but it broke down in the final third. Rahli (seeing Sancho has a problem with 'eye -candy) was hands down ref of the day and the best I've seen this season with her calls.
1st-good game to watch despite the rain in the 23s game taking some toll on the field. Quite physical but both teams played hard. Maitland had majority of possession just couldn't capitalise. Belswans played the ball around and both goals probably should have been saved, obviously Maitland's keeper was having an off day. Ref didn't have much control considering how much he blew the whistle. Don't understand why so many of these refs ignore their ARs though, disappointing to see. The ignored call on a penalty could have changed the game.
Are you on that "one-eyed weed" or what!
BelSWANS up 2-0 at H/T and deservered to be so. Maitland had more control in the 2nd half and came back into the game. As for the so called penalty..... Maitland would have been blowing up deluxe if that was given against them. - no penalty. Maybe she was "influenced" by some obvious silly comments from the paroquial Maitland crowd at that end of the ground.
Blame your keeper for two well slotted goals if you want.
As for saying Maitland were the better team....hahaha. I didn't hear any reports last round from "Maitland forumers" about "stealing" 3 points at Blacksmiths when some may say they didn't deserve it!
Maybe you guys are a little "shell-shocked" from the events of the last week and the two loses - which I can understand but, everyone has to come to terms with loosing at some point of the season!
I've been howled down recently by sanch_theswan for the "speculation" about the much talked about Belswans & VPFC merger but the rumours I'm hearing are getting stronger by the day. My beloved Magic had their game called off so I ventured up to Maitland to watch the game and noticed a VPFC Official at the game. Is the take over getting closer?
I've got to side somewhat with Winner1 on his match report, Belswans fought hard and looked like they wanted the win more against a flat looking Maitland side but I can't see them toppling Adamstown. Maitland should have taken the 3 points but some poor finishing, strong and desperate defending by Belswans kept them out.
Belswans goals were well taken though with the chipped goal first and a perfectly placed 2nd goal across the keeper, who I must should have saved.
Maitland were very unlucky yesterday and deserved 3 points.
Lets be honest Belswans are an awful footballing team and it would be an embarrassment to soccer in Newcastle if they got promoted.
Geez...... what a bunch of sourpusses! After round 8 all the talk was about Maitland and Adamstown (two very well credentialled clubs), then along comes a BelSWAN and put a spanner in the works! After round 14 the talk was that BelSWANS couldn't beat Maitland or Adamstown. After round 15.... quess what the boys beat Maitland and "left them with egg on their faces" (to quote FoereverRed). Now leading into round 16 the talk is we can't beat Adamstown. Maybe we will maybe we won't but in the space of 8 rounds someone is now talking of "an embarrassment to soccer in Newcastle" if BelSWANS get "promoted". How quickly the wheel turns. No-one at BelSWANS has ever spoken about promotion.
Hey Moley.... you're "an embarrassment to FOOTBALL" with comments like that!!!!!
Some one had to beat the top 2 it was getting boring
Can I just say well done to belswans on a great result . I was not at the match as people will know my club is the buds so can't comment on the match
But regardless of how Maitland played everyone and there dog knows how difficult a place cooks square is to go and get a result so as far as I am concerned all credit goes to belswans for two reasons
One for their great result in winning away at Maitland and secondly for really coming into contention for the league. Would be interested to see what there current unbeaten run is ?
I will be at the match between belswans and Adamstown at the weekend and can't wait as the more high profile games there are the better it is for the Newfm .
Knowing the coaching team at Adamstown I am 100% convinced that nobody at Adamstown will be taking this game for granted or predicting a Adamstown win and if we do get the 3pts then chappy and his boys will know they are going to have to earn them
Sancho my friend nobody I do not believe anyone at Adamstown has , is or will big up Adamstown and claim the league is won or has done during the last 16 rounds as football can change in a heart beat as this week has shown .
A game of football is won on the park and not talking of it and currently belswans are doing there talking on the park and perhaps Maitland were doing a little to much off it ?
Just my opinion and not wanting to upset the Maitland guys as they have a great club
just that we have been hearing this season is that Maitland are the team to beat and perhaps that might still end up the case and they will win the comp but they have left themselves a lot of hard work now
sancho_theswan is one who blows his own trumpet or that of his club more than any other person on this forum.
Like mentioned earlier by another person, sancho_theswan will soon be turning people off Belswans like they were turned off Awaba by the other bloke a while ago.
Zico you must be one grumpy sod.
All I see is a man who has great passion for his club and good on him for it.
Maybe the goose is the one doing the constant stirring about Belswans merging with Phoenix.
SANCHO THE SWAN Keep up the good work.
Your postings bring this thread to life and keep it interesting.
Maybe more Sancho less Zico
Go Belswans! stick it up em!!
Well done Belswans on a great performance on the weekend. As members have already suggested, not many teams go to Maitland and win....so credit where credit is due. I disagree with the comments regarding the referees. The 23's ref made some poor decisions and jumped on any player that even appealed for a decision. Rude to players and spoke to them like children. The first grade ref done his job well. Should have been a little stronger from the start, they should use their assistants thats correct but can overule if he thinks that it is not he right decision, after all thats why he/she is the one in the middle. Should be a cracker at Blackmsiths next week.
Hahaha! Zico you clown... please enlighten me with your vast knowledge of these two clubs as to who/where these so called "rumours" are generating if you may. So they're getting stronger by the day, that's a laugh seeing nobody out this way is aware of them. Just your dribble on here is giving it air. Since when does one VPFC "official" at a game mean anything. I saw several Swansea officials at our last home game.... what do you read into that then? I also saw the "Swan" twins at our last home game, maybe there must be some kind of player interchange between Olympic and BelSWANS about to take place. The Jets trained at our ground this afternoon please put your spin on that one! I'm over your garbage.
I'm not going to apologise about making comments about crap being said about my club by rumour mongering dicks. I'm also basking in the glory of the 7 match winning streak the BelSWANS boys are on, that's all especially when it doesn't happen out here very often. Unfortunately not all supporters or clubs for that mater are as fortunate as yourself in having a club that is always successful as yours. Just leave me and my club alone, I'm over and out with you chump.
Sancho for PM telling them how it is.
I'm still a fan of "Keep the long balls short" comments.
Hope youre not saying the legendary " stagforlife " didnt support his club ? From what i remember he was on the committee without having any kids involved at the club whatsoever. Would still be involved if he wasnt so unceremoniously stabbed in the back by certain so called friends at the time.......... and was also behind the organising of the rooball kids playing before first grade kickoffs, the link between toronto juniors, westlakes juniors and morissett juniors and the " A " grade teams at these three clubs in the U13-14-15 age groups, not sure if any of these foundations have been carried on with ? hhhhmmmmm interesting ? So im pretty sure "stagforlife " DID support his club clown !!!! ............
"Adamstown conceded a goal, which was a negative for the match and gave Toronto a goal on the scoreboard, but it was not enough to take the three points from the home side."
Northern NSW Football's reporter at it again.I'm a first year University student and I reckon I could write a better report with my eyes closed.
Poor form.
No but he did start the above mentioned things at awaba, along with Halps and WB, so its just a shame it has all fallen to the ground with absolutely no interst in junior clubs, only personal gains.
"Stagforlife " wont be back, he has retired, matured and living on the peninsular supporting belswans these days. ;)
