Oderus Urungus is dead.
RIP, the little I know about Gwar was mostly from Beavis and Butthead.
Also, Twelve Foot Ninja at the Cambridge this friday.
Crazy shit Dave Brockie passing on. Is it even 2 years since Corey Snoot (Flattus Maximus) died of a Heart Attack on the tour bus?
Metal won't be the same without Oderus taking the piss out of the world.
Well, today I found out what its like to be a 12 year old girl at a One Direction concert.
Got to meet Mark Gable from the Choirboys and got a bunch of vinyl signed. Great guy and awesome public speaker talking about Depression and Anxiety.
Ahh, yeah!
Disclaimer: I did not agree to supply beer to anyone, except myself.
Well, Twelve Foot Ninja were fxxxing sick. Will 100% be checking them out again if I get the chance. Awesome music, many laughs, just awesome.
One of their supports, Algorithm, were also amazing.
Catching up with russ was orright, shame he's such a gypo though
Typical gypo, all laughs and smiles in person and then jumps on the foz to talk shit behind ya back, bloody WLG.
Fun gig though, crowd wasn't too bad considering the weather.
Yeah The Algorithm were intense, pretty sick.
$5 oak and coke is everywhere these days too?
The Algorithm that supported Twelve Foot Ninja for any that are interested.

Some friends & I "found" (lol) these guys back in around 07 or so - pretty much they played covers back then, plus their Flippers song. I'd say out of my top 5 live music moments of my life, these guys have been 2 of them (Note: the best song I've ever heard live was New World Order by these guys - think it was at a Newy Uni sand/beach party in 08, or maybe Good Vibes in 09 or so?). But honestly, I've rarely rated their recorded stuff. They are the epitome of a band that live vs recorded, are completely different IMO. After the Parlez vous music video, I kind of lost interest in them - the whole Bumblebee song era onwards I've just not been a fan (and to be totally honest, I think I got a bit hipster-feel and lost interest once they became "too famous"). But that Create/Destroy - it's probably the first bit of recorded music I've heard from them that I've totally got into. I love it for some reason! A few of my family are talking about going to Splendour - if they do, and I man up and join them, I'll definately be checking out AvS again.
Anyone going splendour?
Have the day off Friday to camp online for tix. Fingers crossed
i think that the line-up is pretty weak this year.
i'd love to see outkast and interpol but apart from that it's a lot of money to spend.
having said that you'd have a ball up there regardless of the line-up. tripping on acid changes your whole perspective on shit.
