Barbarousis leaving Nix
A former Bundesliga coach..........I wonder why we aren't ever in the market for foreign coaches outside the HAL......mustn't be a mate of Lawrie's
Kosta Baraourses leaves the Nix, Lets sign him up
All the talk about Barbarouses is that he'll be returning to Victory, but surely Roar, Gypos and us would all be in talks to sign him.
Especially since Ernie was a big part of him returning to the Nix in 2016, and Kosta only seemed to start having "non-football issues" once Ernie resigned.
Ooh a foreigner, he must be awesome. From wiki:
Kurz won promotion to the Bundesliga for the club in 2010. The subsequent 2010–11 season was changeable and most of the time, FCK was threatened by relegation, but eventually the "Red Devils" finished a sensational seventh in the German top flight - their best finish in the bundesliga since 1998-99, when they finished fifth. 2011–12 was much worse, with Kaiserslautern occupying a relegation berth virtually all season. Therefore, Kaiserslautern parted ways with coach Kurz on 20 March 2012.On 18 December 2012, it was announced by Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim that Kurz would be the new head coach for the second half of the 2012–13 season, when Hoffenheim faced the threat of relegation. Hoffenheim weren't able to emerge from the drop zone and decided to fire Kurz on 2 April 2013. Then Kurz was manager of Ingolstadt 04 between 9 June 2013[9] and 30 September 2013. He was named the head coach of Fortuna Düsseldorf on 23 December 2015. After scoring four points in seven games, Kurz was sacked on 13 March 2016.
So he won promotion with a team, then basically struggled for the next 7 years.
Got a team to the Bundesliga.
Stayed in the Bundesliga finishing mid table.
Top 2 flights in Germany shit on A league.
Contacts and networks in a league much higher than ours.
Name me a coach that hasn't "parted ways" or been fired.
Just a couple of points against your argument.

Looks like we get him back with added $
I'd like to have a No. 10 that was also a threat on goal. But I'll settle for Dimi Petratos or anyone for that matter who can turn up for training without being on crutches or in a wheelchair.
I'm probably wrong, but with the 150,000 we get from petratos could the jets theoretically use that to pay out probably a good portion of Wayne Browns contract cause I really don't see how he's fitting into our team right now
Quote:
He will solve the No.10 position for the Jets.

Haha you don't think the 150k will go towards the 3mil in losses?
IMO Brown should be given a clean slate to prove himself. He was pushed all around the park without ever really being able to play in his natural position. I am hoping a pre-season in the settled midfield position beside Ugarkovic will make all the difference.
In so far as he will wear number 10, I expect Plague. Can be the only reason
He is a natural 8, said so in his first interview when he signed. Only the idiot continually played as a #10 when blind freddy could see that wasn't where he was suited.
I am hoping Ernie shows a little intelligence and flexibility not to constantly park 2 defensive midfielders infront of a back four.
I don't see Brown as a 10 at all. But we had no other option last year besides maybe Clut. We are in desperate need of a creative mid.
Why don't we switch to a 4-4-2 or a 3-4-3 and negate the need for an Attacking Mid? I would rather see us sign one but we can get away without having a creative hub that other teams can mark out of the game. Hard working midfielders can help fill the void, lots of mongrel and all that.
But seriously, play with some width and try to give our slow thinking midfield more time on the ball? Just a thought, not anything worth reading too much into.
Really? Member is kind of right... we have played this style where we stick a winger completely isolated with zero support as wide as possible for years. All that Member appears to be suggesting is that you use the width as space to run into rather than starting out there and having half a field till your next support player in midfield.
yup agreed....Member is right here. Start of the year we transitioned quickly through the midfield and out to the wings and it worked. Then opposition teams started to figure us out and it devolved to long ball out to the wings against defenders who were ready for it. we need to get back to playing through there midfield
Go direct pommy style. It will work at this level. We'll score that many we'll have to throw some back.
Then when they stack a sweeper we go round the outside like a trailer pk girl.
Jets not sure what the budget will be yet:

Burke returns from Portugal scholarship:

That wouldn't be till next year though and his contract would be up. I think it's ridiculous he's one of our highest paid players in the club. I scoffed when that was mentioned on your podcast. Decent record but it was all in Finland playing in front of 5 people.
#Nix proud to present their new coaching staff - head coach Darije Kalezić and assistant coach Rado Vidošić
