Not sure about the draw, first rd for zone leagues is 18th & 19th March
I take it that means we are still persisting with a rigged/weighted draw?
Round 1 = only zone league clubs
Round 2 = newfm teams enter draw
Round 3 = npl teams enter draw
No rigged draw, all teams in same pot.
The 4 teams who made the ffa cup nnsw semis , Edgy Jaffas Olympic and Singleton will be seeded and when they are drawn in round 3 they cannot draw another npl side
So one non-NPL team is not guaranteed a spot in the Southern Pool's final 4?
That is the information i have heard. Not even guaranteed a spot in the last 6 Southern pool teams who make it to the quarter final weekend. Looks like Nnsw are finally taking the FFA cup as seriously as the clubs do. You would think that would nearly guarantee 6 npl sides at the quarter finals , which is a much better scenario.
Have heard the First round draw comes out this Tuesday.
Draw is today at 1.30pm.
Broadcast live on NNSWF social media channels.
Will be interesting to see how this first round change works out for clubs.
Started writing up the list but, the stream is balls on my computer.

draw was amateur hour
Any word yet on when these games may be played. Heard midweek for Rounds 2 and onwards but guessing Round 1 will be played on a weekend. Also guessing that the LMRFF won't be hosting the opening round like past years.
Might be some free weekends in Zone League schedule but NL1 don't even have the spare weekend in June this year like normal whilst NPL does. Would make more sense to play Rounds 2 and 3 and so on as the top two leagues come in on a Tuesday or Wednesday night.
Got to say the new draw seems alright so far. Probably a good thing protecting the lower tier Zone sides from the top dogs. That being said, hoping the seeding doesn't come back to allow a Zone team to make it to the Quarters. Not sure if that's the plan this year but should be open hat draw with everyone in it.

I'm pretty sure if home teams can get their ground for that weekend they can play the tie at home
Those who can't get grounds will get moved to grounds that are free to host on that weekend
No games to be played at LMFF unless wet weather becomes an issue in any round
The more games at one ground the better I say, the hosting club can make a day of it rather then just set up for one game.
You won't have to worry about not getting enough refs to cover they can just allocate three to the one ground to cover the games. And from a personal point of view I enjoy watching the other games at the ground I'm at.
who usually pays for refs for FFA cup?
I think having a few games per ground is good for this reason. a few years ago Suburbs played up at Nelson bay with another 3 or 4 games on and it made for a great day.
Although you can see the positives of having 3rds and Ressies potentially getting a run before hand if both clubs agree.
Lets just hope if NPL sides end up hosting further into the draw I won't potentially have to pay to watch Zone League sides play each other.

Any zone league teams charging entry or that just the penny pinchers in NPL doing that?
Just now noticed the hosts. 2 clubs getting opportunity to host and only one game at each. Sucks to be Swansea I reckon. Good bus trip home tho.
Games will be played at Speers Point either Saturday or Sunday, depending how many fields are out of action.
I got word from Northern to say that if games are washed out they will be rescheduled for mid week.
Speers Pt is booked out.
That was lunchtime Thurs.
May have changed though.
