They showed a collection of his 50 goals on Foxsports today.
Some thoughts:
1. The % that were headers was absurd. Esp for a midfielder, and someone his size. Truly astounding skill level.
2. His finishing with his feet was overall bloody awful except for the bicycle kick v China and the WC goal against Netherlands, which was in itself as good a finish as anyone would ever wish for in their career.
3. He was a absolute pratt with his celebrating. So many times he physically pushed teammates away so he could get to the corner flag (and camera) to do his celebration. Plenty of young athletes cop the 'selgish/arrogant' tag all the time yet no one ever seemed to have a problem with Cahill.
4. Cullina, Bresch, Viduka, Kewell > Cahill.

I think this is a few years overdue, but credit where it’s due, he’s given me some of my best memories of Socceroos games and for that I’m grateful.
