He's rat cunning but I think calling him smart is a massive stretch.
Shit tennis player as well I might add.
Printable View
He's not a very nice person.
He tells everyone to buy Australian one day.
And the next he's dribbling on about how he wants to import cheap foreign labour for his horse business.
Following day he's talking about the free market and competition.
Next he's talking more crap about his Horse breeding empire which is about as anti-competitive as you can get. To keep prices high and the average joe from entering the industry they ship horse all over the globe rather than use artificial insemination practices.
Personally, I think he's an oxygen thief.
He had a legit point about levelling the playing field re:GST on imports.
(Plus he ended up getting around it anyway).
He beat shopping centres at their own game.
He made millionaires out of retail store managers.
Still to this day he does a lot of face to face business with the 'little people' (my words not his) in his organisation and gets on very well with likeminded people and is quite flippant about others who are not.
(This may explain why you don't like him!!!!!)
To me he's a bloke that has always played by the rules but is always out there promoting himself and his business. It might be a bit shameless but certainly nothing to be offended by.
Good for the game IMO.
(And no, he's never buying the Jets).
Or you could look at it like Gerry will def be charging him 'mafia money' interest rates so therefore be draining even more coin from his pocket even quicker, bringing him closer to the brink.
Besides, the ad says "everybody loves Harvey Norman"...............except Dunster.
Although if rumour is true and the (soon to be ex) missus is sitting on that $400m trust fund over in Hawaii then old Tinks might just keep finding some cash in the ATM to keep his ass clean.
Con was broke and you wanted FFA to help him out, and now.......
Thompson link has gone quiet.
All you need to know about Harvey is he bases his interests in Ireland to avoid tax.
Absolute smoker
nah.
The Ireland thing is to do with his campaign to have the same GST rules for Australian businesses as there is for overseas businesses importing good under $1000 into Oz.
He wanted the same rules for everyone, the govt said no, so he based his website out of there in order to level the playing field.
He was also very public in his reasons for doing so.
Nothing shady about it.

Celeski and Madaschi gone
About ****ing time this got sorted.
FFS Griff and Kew have been gone for nearly a month now and finally the club have managed to move on the other unwanted players.
Only Carney to go now.
Madaschi injury replacement for Nick Ward at WSW who was an injury replacement and lasted 5min
If you zoom in to the photo and read the whiteboard, you can even see the numpty **** has written "Hoole (Gallagher)" out on the left, so it looks like he already has his substitutions set for tonight

That was a training lineup, as you can see pavicevic on the opposing side and M. kantarovski
The players not being paid "isn't the end of the world" according to Phil Stubbins.
How disrespectful. How completely and utterly disrespectful.
This quote to me is bullshit.
Of course no player is going to voice an issue or show ill feeling.Quote:
But Stubbins said the situation had been discussed at training this week and there was no sign of ill feeling.
‘‘If I’m judging it from training, there’s no reason for me to say or feel that it’s been anything than what it was, and we’ve dealt with that,’’ he said.
‘‘In terms of has it affected the players, I’d say no . . . the subject’s been broached and paid, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s over and I’m looking forward to the game tomorrow.’’
He sucked the senior players for raising an issue and has created a club culture and environment where players are scared to speak up for fear of being sacked or ostracised.
The more he speaks, the more it is clear that Stubbins has no idea. No idea on football, tactics, and player management. Sadly, he is even more devoid of class.
Just having a look around SBS and found this.

Couple of articles tucked away in The Buzz in the Tele today. Talk of a team playing out of the Titans home ground and Gallop met with Dragons CEO about a team playing out of Kogarah.
I can't see the FFA getting rid of us, they would know that merging the Jets and CCM would be a massive cluster **** that wouldn't be supported, particularly when you split games between two venues. I also can't see them getting rid of the Mariners.
From the sounds of that they are talking to at least two possible teams, its been no secret the FFA want 12 teams going into the new deal. They are probably courting more, the ones referenced just have an NRL connection which is why they were reported.
I'm not to concerned about the Jets being scrapped as a team.
The FFA needs 2 new teams before the next TV deal to up the stakes. We're to useful to be put to death
Interesting comment earlier about the chance of franchises moving.
There seems to no shortage of Regions putting their hand up for a spot, finding the Millionaires to back the teams however
Gold Coast
South Sydney
Brisbane
Geelong
Canberra
Auckland
If the FFA can convince Marwan Koukash to buy the GC licence as well as the Titans, they could be a goer.
Gold Coast is a football death zone regardless of the code. Canberra and the Gong deserve a shot. Or maybe Hobart???
It seems to be testing the waters of potential extra licences, I hope so anyway. Still doesn't give us any certainty with what happens if they boot Tinks. Mr Dundee doesn't seem to have the cash to finance a team that I want to see, more like GVE's kids. Bout time we had some fukn honey instead of shit to eat.
