Isn't it just a 70's skin flick?

Stanny, did you just agree with yourself?
Female action film.
Black Actress being front and centre of a film in a dominant rather than passive role.
Males play support for the females in this film - unusual then - and unusual now.
It was also shot on a very low budget yet looks as good as anything the big studios made at the time.
There's some ridiculous parts to it as well like the warden and the guards - being totally over the top - but it's essentially a requirement to keep the focus on the women being the heroes and most intellectually appealing of the film.
Oh and it's a smorgasbord of the female form as well.
EDIT: It's a comedy as well - so plenty of laughs.
I'm pretty keen to see where I can find this masterpiece of film...
Stone Cold..

Watched the Doors movie on the weekend. Weird but good movie
Side note, just quickly googled about a new Doors film and found nothing, but a picture of "The Warriors" film came up. Just realised I haven't seen that in a few years, I normally watch that thing at least once every 3-4 years, so I'm about due. Absolute master piece in my eyes.
Walter Hill has made a lot of good movies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Hill
In 1979 he made The Warriors and handed over directing Duties to Ridley Scott for his other movie - Alien.
So this looks amazing(ly sh!t)..
Definitely keen to check it out.. haha

Dunster, you are the man!!!
May the 4th be with you...
ABCFM is playing space themed music all day.
Also, get in and vote for 'Your favourite instrument' - Classic 100 theme for this year.
I just saw there is a re-make of The Naked Gun with Liam Neeson taking the lead role as Frank Drebin Jr.
I predict an absolute stinker.
I just don't see how anyone could possibly think it would be a good idea.. Or a good film..
Look how most of the remakes/re-imaginations have gone.
But that's the business of a lot of modern movies, they know it will be a pile of sh!t but pump it out cause they will still make money from the hype..
I haven't seen that. I'll have to check it out.
He was terrific in A Million Ways to Die In The West.
I just loved the originals so much. Watched them over and over. The subtly of the humour and dead pan delivery... and the trailer was less than inspiring.
I hope you're right Buddha
They have just followed the same formula as the originals, get a traditional straight actor to deadpan the lead role and let the nonsense happen around him.
It works of the writing is good. Sadly, I can't see how anyone is going to be as original and stupid as the Zuckers were back in the day.
Add in the stuff we 'can't joke about' anymore and comedy is a pretty narrow lane at the moment.
I mean, it only took about 5 years for The Hangover to get finger wagged. People have no chill.
All the best though, but Nu Metal can't come back fast enough.
Why is it not called Naked Gun 44 1/4.
Finally watched the trailer.
I'm not a MacFarlane fan boy but he's probably the closest we have to the stupidity of the original.
Personally it's gonna hinge on one thing. If it's 90 mins of OJ jokes then I'm in. If the one we got in the trailer is the only time they go there then I'm out.
It was a funny bit.
