Just out of interested, is anyone looking at heading over to Japan for the qualifier next year, or has anyone been over there for a qualifier and if so, how'd you get your ticket?
so is anybody excited about the match tomorrow morning? I haven't seen any publicity about it.
I'm staying overnight at a mates place to get up and watch it on Pox.
Not risking a dodgy stream for this one. Sick of missing anthems!
The only publicity I've really seen is Les Murray's controversial blog.

He was also interviewed on ABC radio (RN) by Fran Kelly about it too.

Lets celebrate goals by pulling heads in under shirt collars!
I know there's probably dozens of FIFA participants who are violating human rights.
It just gets sticky when you start to single them out.
Beheadings though? Fkn repugnant practice.
Btw, cute film on the plight of Iranian football 'sisters' available out there. 'Offside'

I saw this at the N'cle Film Soc.
i went over for the Aus v Japan match in Yokohama in about '09 (the infamous "no striker" bore fest).
We got tix through the JFA. You could buy for the 'away' section pretty easily. They delivered to Australia and I'm sure the option was there to get them delivered to your hotel over there as well. But they shipped them here in plenty of time.
Check their site first and if not go to the FFA and ask them.
From memory it was pretty much sold out and we def didnt see any touts around the game so don't rely on getting them off the street.
We also went to an AFC game at Siatama stadium one time and there are ticket shops in tokyo where you can buy concert tix etc. Luckily Mrs Plague speaks Japanese because no one knew any english and theres no way I would have known what to do otherwise.
tl:dr
Try the JFA site.
FTA deal struck with Channel 9 for last 8 qualifiers.

Except where football is concerned...Quote:
A deal has been struck to broadcast Australia's remaining 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on free-to-air television.
Source: AAP
6 Oct 2016 - 7:18 AM
The deal between Fox Sports and the Nine Network will feature the next eight World Cup qualifiers broadcast on free-to-air,
starting with the clashes with Saudi Arabia on Friday morning (AEDT) and Japan on Tuesday - through to September next year.
Socceroos fans without pay TV were unable to watch the past two qualifying matches against United Arab Emirates and Iraq
despite SBS and other free-to-air networks showing interest in broadcasting the games.
It was the first time in more than four years Australia played without free-to-air coverage with the 2014 FIFA World Cup,
including qualification, the 2015 AFC Asian Cup and 2018 World Cup qualifiers shown on SBS or ABC.
An FFA spokesman told The World Game that the broadcast rights for the September qualifiers were decided by the Asian Football Federation (AFC)
and their marketing agency Lagardere.
FFA chief executive David Gallop said football fans were the biggest winners with the new broadcast deal.
"This is a great result for football, tremendous news for Socceroos fans around Australia.
We welcome the undeniable sports broadcast expertise of Channel Nine :rof:
on board for what will be two massive games for the Socceroos in the road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup."
Good marking mooy
Ange OUT
Glad we got one back, haven't been our best but certainly didn't deserve to be losing at half time. Kruse lookingmuch better (besides his terrible crossing). Rogic is beautiful to watch on the ball, smith bombing on nicely.
I'd really hate to see what would happen if one of the Saudi chaps actually got a genuine injury
they may have to stay on the stretcher, instead of jumping up as soon as it's off the field
and now we just scored
can't say we didn't deserve it

2 points lost rather than 1 gained.
Poor defending for both goals.
Midfield played really well but defence was below par.
just really basic errors in defence cost us
why did we have our arms up before the ball was in the net in that second goal - ****ing defend, then worry about the ref
for a total bunch of ****s, the Saudis did play a decent passing game
Milligan is not a right back. **** him off.
Slept through the alarm.
Any reports on ch9 coverage?
