With only 1st Grade and Ressies to reschedule washouts on just 1 night...

I just think there are circumstances where the administrators need to be flexible. We've had days where only lower grades got on, but there's been a couple of times where it rained heavily the Friday and then Saturday was good weather. Pitch wasn't ready for games at 11am, but waiting a few hours and playing one grade would have been an option. Whether its one or two games getting on, it's a massive help. NPL do it regularly.
any results from last night???
Suns v Azzurri
Ressies 4-2
Thirds 1-0
When is the Kotara v Warners Bay game being played?
Are the semis top 5 or 4 in zone league one
Warners Bay vs Westlakes
Thirds 2-0
Res 5-1

Wonder if Suns and Dudley have been told they will need to now form an U18s team next year when one of them goes up
That's not what has been proposed and wouldn't work anyway, as the existing 18s team for the other team will also have a game that weekend. Seems like there will be a few more byes in 18s if clubs aren't required to get an 18s though.
Bit naive regarding club relations, but couldn?t suns draw on a magic 18s trial group ie magic send a ? 2nd ? selected group to play at suns 18s and similar at Dudley, could they draw on another NPL second 18 team. As I say not sure if this is possible regarding relationships.
Kotara 3rds have 3 games to catch up on Dudley on Saturday.
Westlakes on Tuesday?
Uni ????? this game has not been set yet, when and how are they going to play this game, wouldn't it be best to play Uni on the Tuesday as both teams are involved in the finals race?
Surely first grade teams don?t want to be playing a midweek game prior to semis. I would want to hope that Kotara and Uni aren?t waiting to see the results from the weekend before deciding ?if? they should/need to play the game. There are scenarios where if result go a certain way if they take a draw Cardiff would miss out on the Semis. That would be an absolute disgrace if let happenQuote:

Azzurri and Mayfield are still playing next Monday, I can understand Reserves playing as they can still make finals, but why bother with the other two? Just call it a draw and end it, neither can make finals or be relegated.
3rds is a tricky one and would be unfair to Cardiff. In firsts Kotara also still has to play Warners Bay, and they could mean the difference in the finals as well
So Westlakes are just going to hand Kotara an easy 3 points in a tight finals race in Res & 3rd? Poor form especially since according to squadi they managed to field teams against Warners Bay in all 3 grades for this weeks midweek fixtures.
This competition really needs to go back to being 10 teams.
Squadi has now been updated to classify these two games as 0-0 draws not forfeits now. Potentially the admin got it wrong, I will now edit my above post to reflect.
I wonder if Kotara are happy with that since it is a tight finals race or have they been told they need to accept the draw.
They would have every right to be upset especially if it is an away match but they cant just be handed 3 points when everything is so close either. It might not be easy however if they have 3 matches left they are going to have to play Tues & Thurs next week.
It sucks but unfortunately with the weather this year this is what it has come down to.
If I was Kotara, I would play the already scheduled Westlakes game. No disrespect to Westlakes but surely 3 points (Westlakes form in last 5 shows best results of forfeit given by Minmi and 2-0 loss to Warners Bay, worst result is 10-0 loss to Dudley). Then if there is no time to get games played, take a point against Uni. That leaves Warners Bay and Cardiff with one game in hand only able to match them on the points table for 5th, but a mile off with goal difference. Surely Kotara's hand being forced here. It's a Round 6 game, one would suspect ample opportunity to have got this on.
They should have to play both games. Yes they will in all likelihood beat Westlakes but if they play that match that probably gives uni a better chance of beating them in their other fixture and is what Cardiff & Wbay will be hoping for.
A Westlakes forfeit allows Kotara to put all their energy into the Uni game which they will most likely win and lock up a finals spot.
the hard part to take in is the Westlakes game was Rd6 and Uni was Rd10.
They keep saying you have 2 weeks to organize and 2 weeks to play.
I know rain/weather happened but Rd6???
this should have been looked at by the powers that be and organized earlier, making games happen especially if it involves teams that could be semi bound.
We would love it done as well especially with a Minmi catchup that I?m sure both us cellar dwellers would love to catchup.
The Ressies and Thirds Rd 6 catchup for us was originally washed out then washed out again at which point poor Kotara had every weekend and midweek booked out with catchups until this extra week they have created at the end of the season.
No idea what is going on with Sqaudi but we haven?t been told anything about forfeits or why it?s a 0-0 draw from earlier today.
I will just let the association keep me guessing until we hear otherwise.
Just had a look at tables Mario and agree it doesn't appear fair in 3rds.
In 1st grade - W Bay v Kotara Rd 14 still outstanding, with no scheduled date in Squadi from what I can see. Shouldn't this be declared a draw if not completed before Saturday's final round?
Cardiff are disadvantaged here for me. Cardiff have done hard yards to get games played before weekend, but Kotara get the benefit of seeing if they get a result v Dudley on Saturday, and if they don't then a chance against Bay next week if Cardiff lose? Unless I'm missing something, doesn't seem right and may impact top 5. Bit of bet hedging.
All clubs should be all in on last day of season. That?s why kickoff time is 2-30 on same day for everyone.
Cardiff have every right in both grades to blow up. The rest of the top 5 are all up to date. So 6 of the top 8 are up to date. All those teams did everything in their power to get it done cause they are under the impression that if it?s not done by Sunday it would be a draw. Whats the point of everyone playing Saturday then and spreading the refs thin if they let games after the final day.
I agree with this. I am not having a dig at kotara but all clubs have been faced with the same circumstances this season. And if the matches have not been able to be played perhaps they should be declared a draw. Would be a shame for the likes of Cardiff not knowing by the conclusion of Saturdays play whether they will be playing finals football or not.
Kotara v Uni 3rd grade is being played Tuesday night.
Westlakes kotara game in ressies has now changed from nil all draw to a forfeit win to kotara,
