chapman subbed off in the 75th
finished off 5-0. looks like a hatty to taggz and possibly one or two assists to hoole. good reports about chapman at the back, and great reports about brillante's beard
Yep, looked pretty good from what I read.
Taggart hatty, Maclaren (the apparent free transfer, former Blackburn youth) and Ryan Edwards (think he is still at Reading) the scorers.
When Ryan Williams came on, Hoole moved from right mid to centre mid.
Also, crowd >2000. Not a bad effort by the Gong.
rumours on other sites saying we've all but signed an iraqi left winger. No idea if it's abbas or not
There is no story. It's just rumors. mostly on twitter. Name being dropped is halgurd mulla mohammed
also, MV have reportedly released flores
sure does. Apparently he was told he was unwanted at the end of the season, before giorgios was on the radar even. I feel for the guy - could be the best player in the league again if played in the right position. While he was the best false 9 victory had, it isn't suited to him. Would love if we somehow could fit him under the cap (are we using r.griff's "near-marquee wages"?) - could be an amazing playmaker for us to b work behind heskey and taggz
^ Would have in an instant if we were able to fit him under the cap.
Good onya MM & pv4 , sure to be signed by the smurfs now.
if you even think about a player that you'd like to see play for any club in the hal, the chances are sydney fc will link themselves with that player.
i could say, purely off the top of my head:
- riquelme
- adebayo akinfenwa (BEAST MODE)
- thomas hitzelsperger
- mark bresciano
and now, as if by magic, sydney fc are "the frontrunners" to sign every single one of these guys
The lesson that the Smurfs are yet to learn is that they can sign all the "stars" they want - they never build a "team".
Even with two premierships, they have not dominated this league like they should.
The guys from that Soccer Stoppage Time radio show mentioned the link for the Iraqi. Didn't drop a name but i believe he plays for the Iraq national team.
and for the record, Ali was never a winger
disagree. so does wiki

just because sydney fc have mostly used him as even a DM doesn't mean that he didn't line up for us on the left more often than not. he spent most of his limited game-time with us as a wide midfielder/forward or an attacking mid when given the luxury. wide may not be his best position, but he was used a heap of times in wide positions for us
Yep, I seem to recall him being described as a left winger for Iraq before he signed for us as well.
