Thank you Newcastle Olympic! Another premiership for the thistles!
Scenes at Izzo park. Either Suns really didnt want to go up or they got very tight around the neck. who knows
Did Cardiff City aka the semi final bottlers get up? Squadi isnt loading for me and uni havent posted anything. Any news lads?
Congratulations to Dudley. A clean sweep of three premierships is a very impressive achievement.
Will be interesting in the coming years who comes out of this comp and is promoted. Suns I think will next year and if Croatia spend they will in the near future. NL1 in 4-5years will be like the best ZL1 clubs now plus a few from NL1 now. None will have juniors to be able to go to NPL and promotion to the top grade will happen every now and then like the old days.
Promotion/Relegation goes on the top grade why should not having juniors stop say Dudley going up if the win next year when it?s only first grade that counts
I agree with what you?re saying and also believe Suns are nailed on to go up next season. I can?t help but feel the federation would probably prefer clubs like Kotara, Mayfield & Warners Bay clubs who either have a large junior base or the ability to realign with them (Mayfield) to move up though.
Well I guess Dudley don't get to lose their third team now, except instead of a bunch of old blokes it is now a bunch of U18s they need to organise.
Well done to Suns for figuring out how to stay in the comp, and next year this thread gets even more Croatia talk then before #samocroatia.
Correct me if I am wrong gentlemen. However it looks as though a few clubs have strengthened there lower grades and pushed players down.
I won't name names but it is quite evident with recent results...
Fair play to them, let's hope they don't come unstuck with the ruling in place for this
I go and watch most weeks and have missed maybe 6 games all year but first grade always have 3-4 fresh players on the bench. If you?re not in the first 15 are you meant to miss out. That?s just having a strong club if you have 15-18 players that are up to playing first grade and other clubs see as first graders
I know there was talk of Uni playing first graders against the Suns in a midweek third grade fixture earlier in the season (which ironically ended up costing Suns a premiership). However Kicktheball has provided 3 poor examples here.
Edit: I see Suns are playing Uni in the thirds major semi final this weekend which should be interesting.
Elimination final is finally set

Hope everyone has their player quals in order, no more dropping back a grade to sit on the bench, if you don't have the games, you can't play...this will cause some issues for some clubs.
yep and they are a little confusing, but in the end is as follows i believe.
EX: jimmy plays 10 games in reggies, plays 9 games in 1st he is eligible for reggies but can play higher.
pauly plays 5 games in 3rds, 4 games in reggies and 2 games in 1st, he is 3rd grader, but can play higher.
It gets little more complex when you break down more scenarios that can arise.
Also, as 3rds in our comp don't really have starting 11 in squaddie, the whole 16 on the sheet count as 3rd grade, this will be cancelled out if you start a higher grade on that day.
This also applies to if you start or bench a lower grade, then start higher, the higher one is counted for the day.
There is no more being a 1st grader or Reserve grader and dropping down a grade to sit on the bench as previous years to play in the finals.
There is a section within Squaddie your club admin can look it up. If anyone needs to know how to access, PM me and i send how to do it.
To make it simple . The grade a Player has started the highest percentage of their Matches in is the lowest grade in which they are eligible to participate in the Final Series.
So if a player started 15 1st grade games but also started 12 reserves grade games then he is only eligible for 1st. If a player started in both equal than the lowest one counts.
The other rule is that players are only allowed to start in one Final per weekend regardless of what grades they are eligible for.
I copied and pasted the actual rules which says percentage, and they count games started as the game they played in.
That correct
Reserves is the lowest grade, however, can play 1sts. But can't start in both on game day.
