Nope. It's already been done. See the footer. Grim cracked the joke when we signed Billy Celeski
Grimario has now been outed as a MFKS Multi. Tell me member, how are you enjoying disc golf?Quote:

Every games.......even Singapore sixes
The people who expect them to win every game aren't looking at it as in "we have to win 27 matches"... They are looking at is as in we should be able to beat every side in the Comp (and by that I don't mean finish the season with nine wins). no side has ever won every game in the a league and most likely it'll never happen. But settling for being mediocre is why we are in this situation which "some "fans"" label as an excuse to settle for mediocre. If we don't break the cycle of it then it will keep being an excuse and we'll never cheer our team in a finals match.
all this nonsense just comes down to personality
some of our fans are highly successful people in their own right - complete winners in life, who have a list of achievements as long as their enormous wangs
these fans expect the extraordinary success from the Jets that they experience in all other aspects of their lives (financial, sexual, employment, power, authority)
When did we pass through the looking glass?
Hopefully we take this challenge seriously and play well to get good media coverage for our owner in his own backyard, that may bring the rewards the team needs in terms of future funding especially of a few marquees. I'd be far more worried if we don't put on a good show and get the publicity over there, the sheen might wear off Martin's new investment and he may become more cautious about his ACL dreams and what we are worth. FFA Cup is meaningless against this tour, even if we won the Cup interest would be zero in China and that's where our owner has his primary focus, but some good play to surprise the Chinese football media and win them over could shape our future chances of getting the funding to even begin to get on a level playing field with the Melbourne and Sydney clubs
Rojas returns to Victory

Merrick did all the hard work in convincing Rojas to return to the A-League, now he shits in Ernie's helmet and goes to Victory.
Marco is an arsehole*.
* uninformed, internet opinion
Great signing for them, he absolutely tore the league up last time he played.
Victory looking good once again. They lose Finkler and Kosta, pick up Troisi and Rojas. Not a bad trade really!
Their issue is once again going to be their defence
17 goals in 71 appearances for Rojas. However, he scored 15 of them in the 2012/2013 season playing for Melbourne Victory. Since that he's struggled with injuries and been punted by every team he's played for. So one good season and piss poor before and after.
Hopefully they paid a fortune for him.
Troisi though is a great signing for any club.
Jets sounding out Birmingham Gardens as a home base.....
Thoughts?
maybe before flying off the handle - you might try reading the article that answers all of your questions.

I think as a training ground and headquarters it may be OK, but I'm not nostalgic for the old days, no parking, no viable public transport, marshland and mozzies, probably totally unsuitable to expand the site due to no parking and surrounded by swampland, in reality it could only ever be a makeshift base
Like most on here, I'm no professional football coach, but I'd have thought they'd need more fields to train with.
Even watching few sessions at Ray watt, they clearly use two fields.
I think a home add they own would be fantastic, but one field just doesnt seem enough
Once you remove the dog track and turf it, there is a lot of extra space that opens up. Probably not two full pitches though.
----edit----
Just took a few dimensions of six maps, you could put two pitches in there running eats/west is they went to the outside extremities of the dog track. It would be tight, but it could happen.

Should train at Dudley. 100 years of liniment soaked into the turf gives it a particular kind of reek

VJ! how's the paddlesteamer plan going?
Anyone a bit older remembers there used to be two fields there before the NSL days - no doubt they can add another. Never known it to be flooded despite where it is.
Possibility for a 5000 capacity ground with a training field added. Has a club, bar, restaurant and offices. Sounds great for a base and smaller games. Parking a bitch but again you can get by for those smaller games.
Plus, if/when it is under 1m of water, not many other venues would be usable in those conditions anyway.
As a training base, preseason, NYL and FFA game venue, I don't see an issue with it. Not sure how they could fit a second pitch and still have a hill on three sides though which you would need for any games there.
Finally constructed. It's the financial platform Martin needs to fund the club.
I'd rather the club use some common sense and look to places like district park, enough open space and much closer to the stadium, with available commercial spaces near by for a small office. Hunter Venues had grand plans to transform the area surrounding the stadium, create a home there where it is central, has parking and has public transport access nearby.
Apart from that idea, look to the city centre.
Spot on Pico. Buy the tenzo too, have a homebase for fans close to stadium.
