Who's in for tonight
Yeah, erryone get on this.
Had a good mix of individuals last time: fozites, lunatics, squadron etc. Even saw a few faces who hate the squadron.
Let's make this a thing.
It'll be great if we keep building on the atmosphere from last night. Imagine what it could be like if the club was actually going well/enjoyable to watch.
Still had sound issues at games start.
None the less the bar staff are legends.
Is this where all you poofs go to pre-game now. hipsters ay
whos in tomorrow night.
Friday night game with the disaster zone of exchange in sight.

question
on Friday night there probably was only 15-20 jets fans at SJS
so the question is; what is stopping people from coming to a pub for an away game day
is it;
- money
- the jets are shit and the comforts of watching at home are better
- the venue doesn't suit and there is a venue you already watch games at
- etc, etc
When we set this up we thought it might work out as, we had a location that supported football and would give it the main priority on gameday.
I wasn't involved in previous away venues we used i.e. the albion, etc, so i don't know if previous set ups the squadron tried to organize have turned people off.
The idea of having a Hub for jets fans to watch games as one IMO a great avenue for supporters to bond together, hopefully I can get some answers on here and start working some stuff out over the off season to organize a set up that will hopefully benefit all fans.
dude people just hate the fkn jets
don't blame yourself, i can think of squillions of better things to do than watch them
How does this location compare to what the Jets organise as their official away viewing pub? Do they even have one?
And isn't that something that the club should be engaging with fans on in a serious way? "Hey fans, get down to This Pub. Injured player John Doe will be in attendance watching the game on the big screen. 10% discount on drinks if you show your members card" etc...
Yep. **** the Jets.
Also is it correct in saying that this pub is only being advertised on the Foz so only Foz members are attending?
I'd dare say the Jets advertising an away day pub will help boost numbers but the Jets would want to be paid by the pub to do that and then you are doing business with the Jets and **** that.
i didn't even know we had a game
your experiences sound exactly like every other pub we organised in the past. people are keen while it's new, but will fade away rapidly. this is true even when they had a decent chance of scoring goals and winning games.
I'd reckon few know about it tbh.
The foz is regualary visisted by what 100 folk? besides the local football bits.
Facebook is full of 15 year olds so they cant get in anyway
and most i d reckon will either waych it at home before hitting the town or going to bed, or go to their local.
find out the fox ratings for games and see how few people watch it all before worrying about how many come to a specific pub.
get the pub itself to start advertising it more - they could be the official unofficial away pub.
Wouldn't say i'm losing sleep on it but it would be nice if people had some ideas to try and make it work.
its advertised on squadron fb, newy boys twitter
so around 1-2k are seeing it. (1327 viewed the last one the week before on the squadron fb)
Money.
Saving to finance a holiday in a little over 2 months so social outings are low down on the priorities already and the Jets away is low on the list of social outings.
