Spend all the Leeky money on oar asap
Can't believe I'm the first.....
That would be Oarsome
But that would be purchasing a known decent player*. So unjets
Plus, he has to knock back offers from the big 6 first. get in line suckers
*we have had 1 or 2 good purchases
Tommy Oar is a poonce and not the sort of player we need. Would much rather sign someone with a bit of mongrel in them to take it to the opposition. Not that he'd ever come to the jets anyway.
Great to have the Griff writing for the Herald, alongside young Bob Dillon. But I'm unsure why the Griff's acting as Carney's contact negotiator.
“A buyer who comes in here and doesn’t understand that we are a regional centre and that the Jets are the community’s club – that in my view would be a difficult relationship,” he said. “We certainly need an owner who will understand the difference between here and bigger markets. If you talk about China, there are some pretty big markets over there.”
“I did see the comments (re Chinese interest) across twitter on the weekend. I saw there was a reference specifically to a club in China (Jiangsu) and that is absolute news to me. I had never heard of that club before, let alone it be linked to the Jets.”
Just some idiotic comments made by our makeshift CEO. Annoys me to see us spruicing this small town small club bullshit. Whilst ever this is happening we will forever be rooted to the bottom of the table. Aligning the Jets with the Knights was THE worst move this club has ever made.
Eland needs to think of all the great clubs around the world outside of the capital cities.
A Chinese owner would not think twice about it. They want a football team...end of.

have you ever seen a club filled with such passive-agressive, do-gooder cry babies than this one? from the CEO who runs phone-sex lines preying on fat, dorito-stained fingered nerds....to their fat, dorito-stained fingered nerd fans on twitter

On behalf of our Members, players and staff the Central Coast Mariners have today issued a formal complaint to Fox Sports Australia and Football Federation Australia in regards to inappropriate comments against our Club and players following our most recent match against Western Sydney Wanderers.
The Mariners have been inundated with Members expressing their concerns and demanding that the Club takes appropriate steps to ensure that the integrity of the Mariners and its players are protected against unwarranted and totally unfounded comments.
This was also raised officially by the Club’s supporter groups who recently held meetings with Mariners Chairman, Mike Charlesworth.
The Mariners will be updating our Members on any formal response we receive from Fox Sports Australia or Football Federation Australia on the matter.
Any Member wishing to express their views are encouraged to contact the club via email on memberships@ccmariners.com.au so we can contact you directly to discuss your concerns.

well, now i want to know what they said!
We get bagged every week on Fox.....ffs.
Rudan was right in what he said.
Hope fox just go all passive agressive back at them And don't even mention them for about 6 weeks
Kudos to the FFA for their reply basically saying commentary and opinion is out of their jurisdiction.
Oh the fun other supporters will have with this.

gypo cam - Rudan was carrying on about the players knowing who there (sic) going into tackle and Monty would have known it was Gol Gol and known his injury history.
He was saying Monty should have not made the attempted tackle because of who it was. What a load of shit. I'm not defending the tackle it was bad and got what it deserved but to say you don't go hard because a player has been seriously hurt in the past is bullshit. He is not a protected species and shouldn't be playing if not ready.
Cheers hawk. Think you missed a bit though, I can't see what would upset them!
Miller giving Milos some praising..

Dumb Poll by the Newcasle Herald asking " Has Milos Trifunovic done enough to earn a new contract?"
At this point in time, probably no as he has been below par in most games but in saying that there are still 9 games to go and like most of the squad, he probably deserves to be judged on the whole season....lets wait and see.
I would give it a few more games - but I would say yes. Correct he had a drought for seven or so games (but so did the rest of the team), even with that he still scored 8 goals with very little service from midfield.
You saw on sunday what happens when he actually can get the ball with players around him.
Am picking this is going to be a big discussion point for tonights podcast recording
If he gets to double figures with this team and becomes the third (or better) top scorer in a season with the Jets it really is a no brainer - play to his strengths rather than, what we usually do, get a striker to adapt to a "style".
An O/S striker who arrives with almost no English and family still back in home country. Has to adapt to the league and still provides 8 goals with 9 games remaining in a side with lack of creativity or service. Also comes in under the salary cap and likely to be on average coin in the squad... To me its a no brainer. I would also have said this prior to the weekends game.
better the devil you know.
keep him.
lord griff knows we wont be able to attract anyone better (and his return so far is pretty good) without paying through the nose.
I'd like to compare his goals with the sitters missed in open play. from memory, he has missed a lot.
is it 5 penalties this season for him?
but anyway, we've got him for at least the next 9 games, hope he gets another 9 from open play.
