People were losing their minds that it was such a departure from the stereotypical 'Bond' character (i.e. 'He black') but if you go compare Moore to Connery to Craig to those pussies in between and they were all very very different.
But no, can't have a black guy in there, it just wouldn't 'work'.
I don't believe you should change the setting of the original author. Bond was a suave aristocrat from the English system and that is how Fleming intended it. The actors have different personalities and that gives the role different spin. It has worked for 50 years and Bond was never for the PC brigade anyway with his carry ons.Quote:
