Sorry - forgot it was his twin brother that went there!

Muscat already signed in Belgium and Rojas has replaced the released guy at City.

they should just play the tape from the last time round - lots of interest, some big names putting their hand up, blah blah blah. article a couple of days old, might have already been posted.
Bit on Clayton Zane resigning from NNSWFF due to his wife's health. Hope she gets better soon.
I'm coming to Newy in about a week. Very disappointed there won't be a game on.
Stephen Constantine would be an interesting choice.
If you haven’t heard the interview he did on Santo, Sam & Ed’s 2 on 1 podcast it’s well worth a listen

For mine there would be better choices out there. I'm sure the guy can coach, but this is possibly the Jets biggest ever decision as manager.
I'm concerned over his lack of recent club coaching and apart from India who has he really managed?
We can't be just giving it to someone that is interested, but If he is the best candidate then he possibly might get the gig.
Looks like my first and second choices are out of the running.
Papas just signed a new deal at Yokohama and Anastasiadis is rumoured to be joining him as the other assistant left Yokohama to join Shimzu as the head coach.
Ange taking all the good 'uns
:(
Marko Kurz is available
We should just wait for Wanderers to lose this weekend, then we sign Babbel when they sack him. Easy.
Kurtz: poor reputation
Kewell: too expensive
Deans: lacks authority/management aptitude
McBreen: lacks qualifications
GVE: perfect choice but fans are clueless
Stubbins: poor coach (but thinks he's amazing)
Muscat: uninterested
Eriksson: lulz
Can anyone name the 6?
Kurtz: poor reputation
Kewell: too expensive
Deans: lacks authority/management aptitude
McBreen: lacks qualifications
GVE: Not good enough and completely clueless
Stubbins: poor coach (but thinks he's amazing)
Muscat: uninterested
Eriksson: lulz
Definitely a better description...
This has got to be the most underwhelming coach-replacement saga we've had.
No rumours, no wild names (apart from Sven), very little speculation in the media.
BORING!
Time to go foreign I reckon. Look at someone that has been an assistant or under 23 manager at a Premier League Club.
Not sure what local coaches could be even considered a better local coach then Ernie? Paul Okon would be the only Australian guy that I would be considering.
I'd be satisfied if Lawrie appointed John Hutchinson as Manager with Nick Mrdja named as his assistant.
Andre Gumprecht as Youth Coach

Captain coach role.
Reports of Carl Robinson suggest Lawrie and Joel thinking foreign like I previous suggested.
We have just gone through a truckload of local coaches Stubbins, Miller, Jones and Merrick if you include him. Apart from one good year we have done nothing in that time.
Time for change, If it's Robinson then so be it. He appears a good candidate although he used alot of 4-4-2 in his final years at Vancouver, I can't see that working at the Jets.
He did appear to use 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 in his early days at Vancouver so he obviously is flexible with his systems. I have a feeling there could be an English manager in the final frame as well.
as long as he doesn't bring Bernie Ibini with him probably not the worst option to try, but anyone is going to struggle in the job unless we bring a few more quality players in, would any coach in the a-league get our current squad, injuries warts and all etc., out of the bottom half of the table?
Very good point, Any coach would have struggled if they had a team without their overseas main signing, their no1 and NO2 strikers plus their centre back. That's why I thought Ernie was a little bit harshly treated.
With funds available, we need to grab a player who can make a difference. I wonder who else is in the final list of 6 outside Robinson? Another Welsh manager possibly?
