Front 3 of Juric, Troisi and Kruse!! All off contract, all not deserving of a new one, absolutely perfect for us. Lmao
If Middleby doesnt sign Juric just to annoy the good member then why bother even having a football club in this city?
Krishna is free but seems to want wello as first choice
Thought there was talk of Kusini Yengi, Would make sense to have another of Lederers Wanderers who can't make it down there as a regular starter. Seems to be our modus operandi that A & A have in place.
We should get Steve UG back
Terry Antonis released by Wanderers and looking for a new club. I can see the Jets making a play.
Andy Pengelly is a striker that has scored truckloads of goals in the QLD NPL for a few years now. Only 25, Would like to see an A League club give him a go. The jets could be that team.
I'm very happy he's gone to City, as long as it's not us
Jack Duncan mutually released, Good move I reckon as it will free up some money. Duncan was very solid most of the time, But had a bad period this year with the crosses. Weir finished the season as undisputed Number 1, Duncan had to make a move.
Agreed. I feel like he always worked hard for us and wish him well.
And we've signed Ryan Scott to replace him. I've never seen him in action, from Western United.
Was good before he left under Merrick, terrible on his return. Best move for both parties
Jurmans gone
I hope we are choosing to release/not resign rather than them choosing not to stay. I'm glad we're moving a few people along though.
Any chance we can get rid of Hoffman and Ingham while we are cleaning the house ??
Looks like they signed Hoff just to piss you off:roflz:
Release the player of the year?
He will be captain next season.
As for Hoffman, I'm sure he's a great team player and leader, if he's cheap I have nothing against him staying, with occasional appearances on the bench.
When he gets regular starts though, it makes you wonder about the coach's choices and/or the overall quality of the roster.
Big 2 weeks ahead I reckon for signings, I can see 3 in very soon.
Late April I said we should sign 3 or 4 from Sydney FC's youth team. I stand by that, I'm all for local talent but I'm not sure if we have that ready to go.
Clayton Taylor is a good Winger, Sounds like he is on his way. I would sign Nathan Paull to replace Jurman. Good left footed centre back. The rumours are he is on his way to the Mariners, let's get in first.
Oscar Priestman is a good midfielder, bring him in to replace Thurgate. Again rumours are he is on his way to the wanderers.
I have no problem with Hoffman as a squadie.
If we wanted another local, Jacob Cresnar would have been a good back up left back. Been playing well for Sydney Olympic. But sounds like we might have the wanderers guy coming to compete with Mauragis for the left back spot. Personally I rated Natta there, I thought he looked really good there.
I hope we make a bid for Mbappe
Daniel Wilmering and Clayton Taylor signed. Supposedly Taylor is a bit of a jewel in Sydney's academy, but it's still a big step up to first team football so we will see how he goes.
We've got a lot of defenders but very few attackers so far.
Yes and no, depends how Papas views them. Mauragis has been used as a winger at our club a lot, and I wouldn’t be shocked if that continues, and in the back end of the season Papas used Ingham as a winger, which may also be how he’s viewing him going forward instead of as a RB, which already balanced out our attack and defence numbers substantially
Post on twitter, quoting Robert Dillon, saying Noah James won't be back for Pre-Season and has been released
Grozos has signed on for another year.
Aaaaaaaaand we've re-signed Hoffman for another year
Just sign everyone to 1 year deals so when we get a new Coach every year they sign their squad.
No point waiting 2 years to sack them.
Jurman off to Macarthur to play with A League legend Daniel Sturridge this season.
First player to play for all Sydney teams. Only has Palm Tree FC to complete all of NSW. I'll give the A League props, it's stance on recycling is absolutely top notch.
Bayliss and stynes both signed up for 1 year.
We going to have any players that will be able to get into the post-match pub without their parents?
