Whoop. Another squaddie.
Third time lucky boz?
Well, hope he proves us all wrong.
Gives us 9 players for 4 spots up top though
Hooley, Brown, Labi and Morty would be the starters
The back ups
Clut, Nabbout, Pav, Brennan and Cooper
We all thought the same when Taggart signed for us. Here's to be the eternal optimist. Carrnn score some goals farken!
one of those players that generally just makes things happen, not always for the better but i think he is worth a shot. interesting though is that out of those 8 or 9 goals for negeri, 4 were dotties.:rof: happy now triffo lovers.

the reason I said accountant originally was because my father in law in an accountant but now specialises in Risk Management and he's EXACTLY the type of bloke that would go back and edit that post.
(and yes my father in law is a good bloke).

He is either learning the dark arts of bullshitting or he is making it up as he goes along.
Either way another uninspiring signing.
The squads nearly full now and every signing has been let's just say underwhelming
All hope now rests on us signing the Chinese Joel Griffiths
3 Months ago I was looking forward to this season with some optimism after Miller cleared the Deadwood
To now go fill the squad with a complete lack of x factor leaves me very underwhelmed
May as well just look forward to the campaign to oust the Gypo as that's about all we gonna have to be excited about
Wait, Cahill was/is in China, do they consider him Chinese now? maybe we're getting him.
gee i feel sorry for the loved ones of the grade A wankers on this forum
Here's a stat for yall. Triffs wife was a solid 9/10. He therefore deserved another year.
From the Nabbout article in the Herald
"The Jets squad now numbers 21. Miller is expected to sign an overseas striker, a Chinese player and one or two more under-20 development players to complete his roster."
Michael Pariss has no real understanding of the squad regulations. His first article on Nabbout last week completely left out any reference to the number of players already signed.
What is certain is that we must sign 1 more u20 player (that makes 22/23). If we are to sign the Visa striker and the Chinese player then someone has to leave to accomodate, a fact Parris doesn't pick up on.
The signing of another (a fourth) u20 could be done as a full time NYL contracted player or injury replacement for Allessi.
Jets have stated a Chinese player will come in, they have also said a Visa attacker will come in. I honestly don't think Nabbout coming in will change that. Someone must be getting release or something. Or if there is only one more player to come in at least we should have good $$$ to spend on him.
in terms of the striker, i know jesper lange's name has been linked but if we have a fair bit of coin left in the cap(we should) we should throw most of it at Marvin Pourie, a german striker playing for copenhagen most recently. 5 years younger than lange and the potential to either make into our own fornaroli/berisha or make some decent coin off down the track.
Totally agree, just find it interesting that the reporter doesn't ask the one obvious question.
My bet on who is leaving is Cooper as he is most likely to be wanted elsewhere in the HAL. But it got me thinking a little more left field. What if Lee lined up a CSL gig for Boogs or Mullen. Would free up a huge amount of cash and with either Kanta or Jackson ready to replace them.
